We have been accepted into the North Division of the Devon County Under 18’s League and have drawn away to Tiverton Town in the first round of the league cup on 13th October!!

🎊This year we celebrate 35 years of Holsworthy Youth FC. 🎊

The club was founded in 1989 by Phil Chidley and Chris Axford with the help of their wives, Linda & Josie.

Phil and Josie Axford were our guests of honour at our recent end of season presentation.

Our chairman Jason Jones and two of our coaches, Paul Blackman and Gavin Moore were in Phil & Chris’s first ever team. All of which now have children playing for Holsworthy ⚽️

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our end of season presentation / fun day on Saturday. We hope you enjoyed it. We hosted 15 teams and their families throughout the course of the afternoon and it was amazing to be able to get all the teams together at the same time for a photo.

Not only did we celebrate our players achievements over the past season, but it is also the clubs 35th birthday. We were honoured to have Josie Axford and Phil Chidley in attendance, both of whom were instrumental in the creation of the club.

The day was finished off with a thank you party for our volunteers and sponsors.

Special thanks to Harpers Feeds for the Marquee, Pid Signz for donating our celebration banners, Kevin Hookway for providing the bar set up, Metrax Engineering for helping us get items on site, Graddon Tree Services for donating the hay bales and Donna Hoban & team for running the bar in the evening. Thanks also to the Committee members and volunteers who worked hard to make the day a success.

Holsworthy Under 18’s formation and coaching opportunities.

Holsworthy Youth Football Club (working in collaboration with Holsworthy AFC) are delighted to announce the formation of an under 18’s side for the 2024-25 Devon County League season.

This will allow the continued progression of our successful under 16’s squad and provide opportunities for local players in school years 12 and 13. Pre-season training dates to be confirmed - watch this space.

The club is also keen to develop coaches as well as players and would like to invite applications for coaching roles within the under 18’s management team. Assistance with costs of relevant qualifications will be considered on a case by case basis.

If you have a desire to get involved with an exciting under 18’s squad and begin or develop a role in football coaching in a safe and positive environment please get in touch.
