Grace O'Malley-Kumar Foundation
We invite you to be a part of a meaningful and very special event, the Grace O'Malley Kumar Memorial Charity Motorbike Ride, scheduled for May 19, 2024. This event is dedicated to honouring the memory of Grace O'Malley Kumar, a remarkable young woman who tragically lost her life in Nottingham in June 2023, an incident that garnered worldwide attention. The primary goal of this event is to raise funds for the Grace O'Malley-Kumar Foundation, established in her name.
Grace O'Malley Kumar, a dedicated medical student and a member of the England Hockey team, was a cherished friend to many. To pay tribute to her, the charity motorbike ride will commence on the 19th May 2024 from North Weald Airfield in Essex at 10 a.m. We intend to conclude our journey at Newark Showground Nottinghamshire, where Grace's family will be there to receive us and be able to show their appreciation to you all.
North Weald Airfield gates will open at 8 am providing an opportunity for riders to gather, enjoy refreshments which you will have to purchase from many refreshment stalls , and make use of restroom facilities before setting off at 11 am. Our dedicated Marshalls will be on hand to guide and assist you.
Other riders across the UK can join in this ride from distant locations rather than ride to North Weald to join the event and ride in memory of Grace.
To participate in this ride of remembrance and contribute to this noble cause, the registration fee is £10.00 per person or £15.00 if you're riding with a pillion passenger. You have the option to make your payment in advance via this web page just click on the link or at the entrance to North Weald Airfield on the day of the event.
If paid in advance through the link, please keep in mind that it's crucial to show proof of purchase upon arrival. If it helps you can pay at the entrance to North Weald.
All proceeds generated from this event will be channelled towards the Grace O'Malley-Kumar Foundation, ensuring that Grace's name and legacy continue to live on and also thrive within the motorbike community.
Grace had a special connection with motorbikes, particularly her beloved Vespa. Let's come together as a biking community to make this day truly special for her family and to ensure that Grace's memory lives on in a way that would make her proud.
Currently I’m working alongside North Weald airfield, Newark Showground, Nottingham University, Bancroft School and other companies to make this a remarkable day for Grace’s family.
I will be creating a page re this event to get as many brother and sister bikers as possible.
