Luxor is my favourite city in Egypt. I worked on the Nile Cruise boats and later in Luxor Medical Center as Guest Relations. The views of the West Bank from the other side of the Nile are magnificent through the day but when dusk falls and the moon shines over this ancient necropolis there is an element of mystery and magic in the air, are the spirits of the Pharaohs watching over their temples and tombs ?

Aswan, one of the most beautiful and peaceful cities in Egypt is famous for its archaeological sites, it’s scenery, natural beauty and wildlife.
When you book a Nile cruise this city is one of the places where the boat will stop and from here you can visit Abu Simbel,Lake Nasser, Mausoleum of the Aga Khan as well as multitude of historic and cultural locations.
A very appealing place for birdwatching, fishing and most of all relaxing .
Does this sound good ?

Every picture tells a story, and that’s what the Ancient Egyptian did with beautiful decorative inscriptions and hieroglyphics on the Temple walls made with minerals that were gathered from the earth and ground into a powder. These paintings still look like new today, they were extremely clever people.

Egypt,” Land if the Pharaohs,” such a beautiful country with lots of ancient temples tombs and pyramids. The history goes back thousands of years to 5000 bce and Egyptologists are still finding artefacts under the sand. Its a never ending saga and it’s fascinating.
But there’s not only history, there’s natural beauty on either side of the Nile River or in the desert at the many oases, such fascinating shapes and rocks in the sand .
There are souks selling hand made goods such as jewellery, beautiful leather bags, pouffes and shoes ,street stalls selling freshley made falafel sandwiches with home made bread ,absolutely scrumptious. This is only the beginning when you visit Alexandria, Cairo, Luxor or Aswan .
Why am I explaining all this ? Because everyone should visit Egypt at least once in their lifetime to see what we have learned about Egypt in books and at school.
Such a phenomenal experience you will never forget .

The mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Barhri stands so prominent in the rugged limestone cliffs on the West Bank of the Nile . But what better way to capture all of its beauty than from a balloon .The views are spectacular and give a different angle than actually being there. That is why when you’re visiting Luxor it’s a great idea to take advantage of one of these unique ways of seeing theses ancient monuments and incredible views of the Nile .

The Mosque of Abu Haggag stands inside of Luxor Temple.
The mosque was built on what was thought to be land but in reality it was debris and Luxor Temple was buried beneath.
Abu Haggag Mosque is beautiful inside, I felt very spiritual when I entered and was amazed when I realised the columns of the Temple were inside the mosque and the reliefs were depicting stories of the Gods.Definitely an interesting place to visit

Cairo, the capital of Egypt, known as the city of 1000 minarets is a mixture of skyscrapers and ancient sites ,mixed with the toussle of tooting horns and manic traffic. However amongst all the noise are the little streets with shops selling handmade goods, jewellery, carpets, leather goods, perfumes, spices and much more .
This big vibrant city has been the capital of Egypt for over 1000 years and was originally called ‘Al-Qahirah’ meaning ‘The Victorious’ and it certainly is.
It certainly is a place to visit with The Giza plateau, Saqqara, the Grand Egyptian Museum, The National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation, Khan El-Khalili Bazzar, Coptic Cairo ,The Egyptian Museum, Al-Azhar Mosque, Ibn Tulun Mosque and much much more. Why not come with our guides.

It is an ancient country with a wealth of history, the Pyramids, Karnak Temple, Abu Simbel or visit the Necropolis on the West Bank of Luxor and go inside the tombs of the pharaohs, how clever were these people ? Close your eyes and imagine yourself walking round the Pyramid of Khufu at Giza or marvelling at the huge statues at the brand new Grand Egyptian Museum, or sailing on the Nile watching the beautiful scenery pass you by.
Its not a dream just get in touch and we will organise your tailor-made tour in Egypt.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

The Tomb of Sennedjem, designated TT1, is a fascinating discovery for several reasons. Here's a detailed breakdown of what we know about it:

**Location and Discovery:**

* Situated in Deir el-Medina, part of the Theban Necropolis on the west bank of the Nile River, opposite Luxor.
* Discovered in an undisturbed state in January 1886 by a team led by Gurnawi local Salam Abu Duhi.
This is significant because unlike many tombs, it escaped looting in ancient times.

**Significance:**

* Sennedjem, an artisan who lived during the 19th Dynasty under Pharaohs Seti I and Ramesses II, was buried here along with his family members

* The tomb offers a unique glimpse into the lives of ordinary people in ancient Egypt, as opposed to pharaohs and nobility

* The extensive decorations on the tomb walls provide valuable information about religious beliefs and funerary practices of the time

**Structure:**

* The tomb complex consists of three pyramid-shaped chapels within a walled courtyard .
The chapels are dedicated to Sennedjem's father/brother, Sennedjem himself, and his son Khonsu .

* A narrow stairway leads into a small room, followed by the rectangular burial chamber with a vaulted ceiling
* The tomb originally had a wooden door depicting Sennedjem and his wife playing a board game, possibly symbolizing the afterlife judgement .

**Findings:**

* The undisturbed tomb contained over 20 burials, mostly Sennedjem's family members .
* Remarkably, the tomb held furniture from Sennedjem's home, including a bed and stool.
* The funerary equipment found within the tomb is currently displayed at the Museo Egizio in Turin.

The Tomb of Sennedjem stands as a remarkable testament to the lives and deaths of ordinary people in ancient Egypt. Its well-preserved state and rich decorations offer a valuable window into their world.

One way of moving your hand made goods to your store. Egyptians make a lot of their wares like carpets, pottery, jewellery, shoes and many more by hand, sometimes using techniques from the times of the Pharaohs ,handed down through the generations.
