We have partnered with @waterrwanda in building a water station for a remote community in southern Rwanda. This video is a little summary of our great adventure.
The new water station is now providing clean water to over 1,500 people living in Bugasera District, Kivusha village.
The project was made possible thanks to a group of 37 volunteers (parents and children 8-15 to) from @fathersandkidscamping based in Dubai and Germany.
Today, clean water is piped directly into the heart of the community, so everyone can access within a 5 minutes walk. The quality of the water has been radically improved thanks to Water Access Rwanda’s 2 phased filtration system which is integrated within the INUMA water station.

This is a great example of how reforestation leads to economic growth. The Bain Youth Group have developed this mangrove nursery where they grow seedlings and then sell it to corporates as part of their CSR strategy. Win-win!

Our first large-scale tree planting project. Together with Forest Restoration Agency and the Bain Youth Group of Kenya we planted 5,000 mangrove seedlings.
For me this was hugely symbolic: I wasn't just planting seedlings, I was laying the foundation for what I hope will become a 1 million tree planting program over the next 5 years. It's both ambitious and also hugely important. Our planet needs healing now more than ever before. Let's do it!
