I have always had a passion for travel from short city breaks to holidays in far-flung destinations. I’ve personally visited more than 50 countries including some time living and working abroad in China, Canada, Australia & the USA. I love a holiday where I can experience new culture, new activities and get off the beaten track as well as see the sights. Here are just a few of some of my favourite

memories:
Making friends (and practicing my Chinese) with the family who ran my local restaurant in China
Whitewater rafting, canoeing & zip lining in beautiful Whistler, Canada
Feeling like an early explorer at the ancient Mayan complex of Caracol in Belize (we had it almost to ourselves!)
Getting engaged at spectacular Mt Cook in New Zealand
Snorkelling right off the beach at Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia

⭐ Abraham Lake, Alberta
The largest man-made lake in Alberta draws visitors who come to see the intriguing crystal-like formations frozen into the ice caused by methane gas bubbles. It may look beautiful but these bubbles are full of flammable gas - eek!

⭐ Signpost Forest, Yukon
Travellers have been bringing signposts from their home towns since 1942 to Watson Lake along the Alaska Highway. There are over 88,000 signs here!

⭐ Spotted Lake, British Columbia
Found in Osoyoos in the Okanagan Valley, the water evaporates in the summer, leaving these fascinating pools of yellow, blue and green depending on the mineral content of each one.

⭐ The Grand Gathering, Quebec
Canadian artist Marcel Gagnon created this large scale art installation of over 100 wooden & stone people known as Le Grand Rassemblement. A unique sight for visitors.

⭐ Bottle Houses, Prince Edward Island
Created by Edouard Arsenault, these 3 buildings between them are made of 30,000 glass bottles - there is a house, a tavern and a chapel to see.
