Good news for cross-country skiers! It's still cold enough especially during the nights and we have plenty of snow, so maintenance of cross-country ski trails at Rakkavaara will continue throughout this week (weather permitting). So, you can still enjoy these fantastic spring conditions on the trails! ☀️

🎿✨Lasten oma sprinttihiihto Äkäslompolossa 6.4.2024✨🎿

Tule mukaan Ylläs-Levi Hiihdon yhteydessä järjestettävään leikkimieliseen lasten hiihtoon! Lasten hiihto järjestetään Äkäslompolojärven jäällä lauantaina 6. huhtikuuta 2024 klo 10.00. Lähtöpaikka on sama kuin 55 km kilpailussa.

Tapahtuma on avoin kaikille alle 10-vuotiaille lapsille. Ilmoittautuminen tapahtuu klo 9.30-10.00 lähtöalueella sijaitsevassa ilmoittautumispisteessä.

📍 Lähtöpaikka: Äkäslompolo, Äkäslompolojärven jäällä, alakoulun edustalla

We purchased our gingerbread house (official name Sambailevi but gingerbread house is better right?!) in January, couple of weeks ago.

We saw this house couple of months ago for the first time and felt at home straight away when we visited there in December. It even has the same reindeer picture on the wall as our other Lapland house!

This house sleeps up to 6 people. Perfect for a family or couple of friends ❤️

It’s very close to the Levi’s alpine park ski slopes and Finnish hardware store 😂

We can’t wait to stay here ❤️

We have couple of weeks booked for this season and couple more pencilled in. Let us know if you would like to visit this year or book ahead for the next season.

Sofia took me for a little final ski before the Ylläs-Levi Hiihto tomorrow. And luckily we found waffle cafe at Immelkartano . Would highly recommend this little trip for the yummy waffles & drinks. You can either ski, walk or take snow mobile there on the lake. Well, you can also drive there but not on the lake 🤷🏼‍♀️ M x

Can’t be left behind 🤷🏼‍♀️ We now have three children who are obsessed with jumps. Wish us luck!!

We don’t really see boys here (except for lunch 😂) as they are loving these jumps & rails at Levi Ski Resort

We recommend Immeljärvi (or our front drive ❤️) for spotting northern lights in Levi. Where are your favourite spots there for northern lights? M x

We had a truly authentic husky ride experience with Levi Safari Co . It was a very cold but beautiful winter day ❤️ Päivi has also kindly promised our visitors a little discount which is so lovely ❤️ Have you done a husky ride before? M x

What an experience! This ice swimming spot at Levin Sammun-Tupa ja porotilapalvelut is definitely magical and full of Lapland spirit ❤️

Tonight we had a wonderful meal at Restaurant Utsu . Stunning location with a glass roof, friendly service and rather incredible food combos.We would recommend this place for couples ❤️We had 5 course menu.We even saw a fox running outside 💁🏼‍♀️M xx

We managed to get into NiliPoro Restaurant last night and we would highly recommend it! Food and service were both excellent and the restaurant is owned by a local reindeer farmer. This place is on the high street so easy to find too. We tried to get in once before but it was full so we are not the only ones who love this restaurant ❤️We would definitely recommend adding this to your agenda if you are visiting Levi. M ### P.S apparently the festive toilet decorations are there around the year!! Love it!

Have you ever tried frisbee golf? Did you know… Finland is ranked as the 2nd best disc golf country? Finland has 1030 courses. Among these are 371 courses which have 18 or more holes. Finland is also home to 19 leagues and 80 stores that sell disc golf gear. Please feel free to add some frisbee golf facts below too 👇

Two reindeers welcomed us in when we arrived in Lapland and now two reindeers popped in to wish us a safe journey home 💁🏼‍♀️❤️

Loved our little adventure and checking Ylläs out. I have been there many times before but not for a while 💁🏼‍♀️ M x

We are loving our new kitchen! Thanks Hangasvaara Oy . We cleaned it first and now it’s time to decide where to put everything 😂 We definitely need more matching things! Do you prefer having plenty of everything in the holiday home even though they don’t all match or less of things and all matching?

Have you ever done sound meditation?We had a session with Essi and absolutely loved it! I often struggle to completely stop and stay still 💁🏼‍♀️ (anyone else?) But this was so fabulous that my mind settled after a while and I even had a nap in the end. Happy days! M x
