🌷🇳🇱 Ellie's Recent Trip to Amsterdam 🇳🇱🌷

I am just back from an amazing 4 night break in Amsterdam! This had been on my list for ages and I am so glad we went. First of all, it is a very beautiful and clean city. We stayed in the WestCord City Centre Hotel. Fabulous, central hotel. With it being directly outside a tram stop and 5 minutes from Central Station, you can explore other parts of the city / country. The public transport was really easy to use and very cheap. 🚋🏨

🧊🥶Amsterdam has loads of attractions and excursions to offer from canal cruises to museums. My personal favourite was the famous, must-do Xtra Cold Ice Bar. It was 24 euros which gets you 3 drinks in the -9 cave!🥶🧊

⚽I am not a massive football fan OR beer drinker, however we done the Ajax stadium tour & the Heineken factory. I loved both, they are really interesting and interactive. The street food is also very good! We tried the famous Van Wonderen Stroopwafels & Fabel Friet Fries - 10/10. We had the most amazing time and will absolutely be back.🍻

‼️URGENT PASSPORT OFFICE UPDATE ‼️

The passport office has announced a 5 week strike!
If you need to renew please don't wait!

Travellers warned of long waits ahead of the summer after Passport Office staff announced they will strike for five weeks from next month.

The union representing Passport Office workers warned the ‘significant escalation’ in the dispute over pay and conditions is ‘likely to have a significant impact on the delivery of passports as the summer approaches’.

More than 1,000 Public and Commercial Services Union workers from HM Passport Office in Durham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newport, Peterborough, Southport and Belfast will strike for most of April into May.

Staff working on the mainland will walk out from 3 April, while those based in Belfast will walk out from 7 April.
In all offices, the last day of the strike has been set for 5 May.

PCSU General Secretary Mark Serwotka said: “This escalation of our action has come about because, in sharp contrast with other parts of the public sector, ministers have failed to hold any meaningful talks with us, despite two massive strikes and sustained, targeted action lasting six months.

“Their approach is further evidence they’re treating their own workforce worse than anyone else.
