Did you know? 🎭 The Globe Theatre, famously associated with William Shakespeare, is not just one, but three! The original Globe Theatre was built in 1599 by Shakespeare's playing company. Sadly, it was destroyed by fire in 1613 during a performance of 'Henry VIII.'

A second Globe was quickly built on the same site by June 1614 but was demolished in 1644. The modern reconstruction, known as 'Shakespeare’s Globe,' opened in 1997 and is just a few hundred yards from the original site.

Today, the Globe is not only a working theatre but also a fascinating step back into theatrical history, offering visitors the chance to experience Shakespeare’s plays as they were originally performed.
