‼ IMPORTANT INFORMATION ‼

Evening everyone, just a quick one, I'm still getting people asking me to price match or beat companies such as " On The Beach", "Expedia", "Love Holidays" etc, PLEASE BE AWARE these companies have NO ABTA LICENCE if the holiday doesn't go ahead as these companies book flights and hotels separately so if one element doesn't go ahead you're not automatically getting a refund....

They have an ATOL LICENCE which a lot of people confuse with an ABTA LICENCE.... an ATOL LICENCE means the following......

ATOL cover means that if the ATOL protected company fails and your holiday can no longer go ahead you will be entitled to a refund if you are yet to travel, and hotel costs and flights home if you are abroad.

So if one element doesn't go you will still be left with other elements you may not be able to get refunded....

PLEASE MAKE YOURSELF AWARE OF THIS BEFORE BOOKING THROUGH A THIRD PARTY PROVIDER.....

‼️ Urgent update for anyone flying from Manchester in the coming weeks ‼️

Unfortunately as you will have seen and hear in the press recently there has been longer delays than usual please see below ✅

✈️ Manchester Airport ✈️

Unfortunately, there is no magic wand for the current issues and Fast Track purchases have been suspended.

Some airlines like Jet2 are offering Twilight Check-in for those flights departing early the next morning so you can drop your cases the evening before between 3-8pm, though check-in for most airlines is running OK.

The main issue is the staff shortages in security. However, passengers not knowing or following the rules is also adding to the issues.

There are a number of ways you can make the process run as smoothly as possible:

🔹 Ensure you arrive in plenty of time. I would suggest 4 to 3.5 hrs prior, longer for long haul flights.

🔹Ensure your hand luggage is packed correctly. No liquids, gels, lipsticks or pastes of any kind. If you have any they can be no more than 100ml and must be in a separate clear plastic bag. Have this ready beforehand.

🔹 Don’t wear belts or lots of metal jewellery, or remove them prior to security. Keep pockets empty wherever possible.

🔹 Don’t wear shoes with metal in the heels, trainers or soft shoes are best.

🔹 Phones, iPads, laptops, hairdryers, straighteners etc. have to go through separately so make sure they are easily accessible, or in your suitcase where possible.

🔹 Coats and jackets need to be removed, so get ready before you reach the security point.

🔹 There aren't any toilets when going through security so make sure you go before.

Things should improve in the coming weeks as they start to re-open T3 and recruit more staff.

In the meantime, be prepared, be patient and remember, the security staff on duty are doing their best in a bad situation.
