My lovely clients, a family of 6, are on holiday in Crete ☀️. I received a message saying that the hotel had upgraded them to their 5 star sister hotel on the same complex...Result 💃🏾. Couldn't have happened to a nicer family❤️.

Hello all 🙋🏾‍♀️. So...I spent the last 30 plus years carving out a very successful career in Human Resources, which I loved, and retired early in 2020. Covid hold⛔️, then fast forward to 2024, and I'm now a Personal Travel Consultant and loving every minute of it 💃🏿.

📣IMPORTANT NOTICE📣. If any of my clients travel to a destination and you're NOT greeted with a personal welcome note from me and other extra lovely stuff when you arrive, please let me know asap, because when you're my client, it's not just about me booking your holiday...it's about me booking your holiday with extras 👍🏾.

My lovely client is currently in Dubai celebrating her birthday 🎂 and none of the extra nice stuff that I'd organised for her was done 😱! Now the hotel is pulling out all the stops to make up for their error.

REMEMBER 🤔, don't just check in. Check in with lots of other stuff because that's what I do. If you don't get the extra's, then the hotel has made a mistake. LET ME KNOW IMMEDIATELY! ❤️

I love what I do as a personal travel consultant, but when things go wrong 😱. I've just experienced a nightmare caused by hurricane Beryl, which left my customer stranded in Barbados after his BA flight was cancelled. My supplier, Travelpack, were not notified of the cancellation, so neither was I, and only became aware when my customer messaged me at 12.30 this morning (2nd July), to say his flight hadn't been re-scheduled and that BA had told him there was no availability until 7th July! Barbados hosted the T20 cricket world cup final, so there were hundreds upon hundreds of people rescheduling flights ✈.

I contacted Travelpack at 12.35am, who responded quickly, advising that the flight was still showing as operational on their system 🤔. There wasn't anything they could do until the BA trade line opened at 9am.

9.01am we sprung into action searching high and low and reviewing every possible flight option. Then Riya Solanki from Travelpack found a BA flight returning to the UK via JFK on 3rd July (and it was the very last seat). She snapped it up and we then spent the rest of the day trying to get it confirmed with BA. Eventually, at around 5pm today (2nd July), the confirmation came through from BA trade. Riya Solanki was absolutely fantastic! There was no stopping her once she got started. She literally saved the day in a day!

My customer is homeward bound today (3rd July), whilst so many others are still trying to get their flights rescheduled.

So the moral of this story is, when you're travelling and impacted by an unforeseen emergency, don't panic because you booked through me, so I'll get it sorted 👍🏾.

My heart ❤️💔goes out to all those in the Caribbean who have been impacted by Beryl's devastating run as she continues towards Jamaica. Please keep them all in your prayers 🙏🏾and support the many Go Fund Me fundraising efforts that are popping up all over social media.

My customers are in the Caribbean for the T20 Cricket world cup tour, island hopping from Trinidad to St Lucia to Barbados to Guyana. They're having such a great time and I'm receiving regular messages from them letting me know how excellent everything is. This is just one of them.

So the moral of this story is...

"When I book your holiday, be prepared to get more than what you bargained for 😉!"
