As more people come to discover the wonders of Kintyre, and indeed Scotland as a whole, please be mindful of other road users. The use of motorhomes on some of Kintyre's more windy single track roads can be problematic, especially if you actually can't reverse them! If you are in doubt, then take the safe option and avoid these if possible. Always try to plan ahead, and have your overnight layovers booked to avoid congestion. Don’t forget to pack your clubs as there’s six breathtaking golf courses across Kintyre and Gigha with views like no other - some of the best in the world!

The award-winning Machrihanish Dunes Golf Course opened in 2009 and has received numerous recognitions since. It may be 'new' but it is steeped in history with links to the original golf course architect, Old Tom Morris, and more recently David McLay Kidd. Accept the invite to play here and you'll be rewarded with a truly unforgettable experience.

At Machrihanish Golf Club you play off the only opening tee in the world that requires you to carry the Atlantic or at least part of it! This spectacular course has earned its place in the world's top 100.

The 6th area of the K66 is Tarbert & Skipness!

Tarbert, the gateway to Kintyre, is a beautiful harbour village with a rich history of Scottish Kings and Vikings. To the south is the picturesque village of Skipness and the nearby ferry to Arran. These two settlements offer a wealth of history, culture and, of course, seafood!
