Last week, we were in snowy Munich for our group conference. There were challenges with the weather, but we made it there via Zurich and a winter wonderland coach trip.
However we were really there to get re-motivated for 2024 and network with our business partners. I'd like to highlight one of these today, as I think their destinations should be on your bucket list! Latin Routes offers trips to South and Central America. Fancy a trip in 2024 to the Galapagos Islands to see the unique wildlife there? Or hiking to Machu Picchu for the ancient city. Costa Rica for the rainforest and wildlife. Chile for deserts, glaciers, fjords and vineyards. Brazil for the most rhythmic country in the world! Panama for more rainforests and the famous Canal. Uruguay - home of the South American cowboy and mile upon mile of unspoilt coastline.
I think this is a continent full of surprises and ready for you to get to know further. Want to know more? Just message me or call me on 01252519669

Malta is our destination of the month. Words can only describe it to a certain extent - a video will show so much more! Enjoy this! When would you like to visit? Do you already know the island?
Yesterday I was at a training session learning all about a destination you might not know. However it is one I think you'll hear about more over the next few years. Ras al Khaimah is one of the Emirates in the UAE. It doesn't have its own international airport, so you fly into Dubai and then it is just a 45 minute drive out of the busiest Emirate to a quieter location. With mountains, desert and coastline, this is less crowded and diverse. From the mangroves on the coastline where the Pearl Farms are located, to the mountains where you can ride the world's longest zipline - this is a destination full of adventure. A good variety of hotels gives tourists a great choice of where to stay. The Corniche in the capital boasts an impressive variety of restaurants, cafés and other dining hotspots ranging from the finest Middle Eastern and international cuisine to takeaway venues and ice cream outlets. The area really comes to life at night, with a buzz that is unique to Arabia’s most authentic and historic cities.
The video gives you just a taste of what awaits you when you travel to Ras al Khaimah. A great year-round destination.

It was World Gin Day this weekend. A chilled drink in a seaside cafe sounds good to me. Do you have a favourite gin or what flavour would you create? I tasted a Shiraz gin recently from Australia and although not a gin drinker, it was really tasty!

Do you have a favourite fountain? Share a picture here!
Fountains have been around for thousands of years – the first ones weren’t decorative but were basins for drinking or ceremonial waters. The Romans were the first to use fountains for decoration, by the end of the first century, their fountains jetted water into the air. Read more https://www.watergallery.net/blog/the-history-of-fountains/
Nowadays, fountains are popular decorative constructions. The Fountains outside the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas are set in a man-made lake, itself reminiscent of Lake Como in Italy. 1200 nozzles shoot water as high as 140m. There is a fountain show every afternoon and evening, every 30 minutes (afternoon) and every 15 minutes (evenings). Every show is choreographed to music and lasts as long as the song. There are some obvious songs here – some Sinatra and Elvis as well as some classical pieces. When we were there a few years ago – the song we had was Elvis and Viva las Vegas (which of course, we sang and danced to!)
The fountains outside the Burj Khalifa in Dubai were built to rival the Bellagio fountains. Again on a man-made lake – here 30 acres as opposed the Bellagio’s 8.5 acres. With lights and colour projections, this is definitely a spectacular show. For a special evening (the fountains are open from 17.45 to 23.30 daily), take an Abra out on to the lake for a ringside view.
