To celebrate this special occasion we will be serving Mai Mai's Homemade Street Food along with local ales, lagers & ciders.
Live music all weekend!

Countdown to Carnival now begins in earnest - only 11 days to go to Water Carnival Day: Saturday 5th August 2023!

The cash prizes for our Fancy Dress Competition have been substantially increased this year - £20 for 1st place, £15 for 2nd and £10 for 3rd in EACH category! And all those taking part will parade through Shaldon to the Beach behind our brilliantly noisy drumming Samba Band!

In a change to the usual venue, the Fancy Dress Competition will be judged at our Marquee on The Green, nice and close to the Beach, and registration for all participating adults and children will take place there from 12.30 - 1pm (please ignore the brief mention of the school in the program page below).

So start putting together those fancy dress costumes - we can't wait to see what brilliant ideas you'll all come up with!

We're so pleased to see Shaldon receive a lovely mention today as one of Devon's greatest 'untouched' villages.

The London Inn was also recommended as a great place to eat. That makes us very proud.

It's certainly a very special place to live and work, particularly on a day like today 🌞
