Our last full day in the highlands of Scotland. First, exploring the incredible achievements of Emma & Philip Mackenzie at Glenkyllachy, a garden at 1200ft where frost has been recorded 11 months out of 12 and yet emmaatglenkyllachy has created a palette of plants that thrive in this oasis of colour and texture. Followed by the passionate team aldourie.scot who take forward Tom Stuart-Smith's original design with real thoughtfulness and eye for detail. elliottforsyth._, aldourie_gardener. Magnificent, inspirational and exceptionally well-fed. Another wonderful day on a Sisley garden tour!

A wonderful achievement by all those hard working and passionate gardeners and the county and national organising teams.
Thanks to you, this year a record £3,403,960 has been donated to some of the UK’s best-loved nursing and health charities.
This represents a superlative achievement by the garden owners and county team volunteers who together worked tirelessly to host open days at 3,389 gardens across the year.
People often ask what our 'off-season' looks like and some of it is fine-tuning detail and sorting out accounts. But amongst the 'Autumn admin' there are days like these, in the late November sunshine spending time with garden owners, designers and head gardeners doing extraordinary things that, very luckily, we get to share with our clients next summer. stephenthegardener

We are delighted to learn that the National Trust has acquired Gertrude Jekyll’s beautiful garden and house at Munstead Wood. Jekyll’s work and influence continues to shine in many of our favourite Arts & Crafts gardens across England.
Do you recognise this beautiful Arts and Crafts house?
This is Munstead Wood, the Grade-I listed home and garden of Gertrude Jekyll. She exerted a huge influence on garden design and planting in Britain and abroad - and it's now officially a property we care for!
Jekyll designed over 400 gardens. Very few of those remain, and even fewer are open to the public. By acquiring Munstead Wood, we will be able to shine a light on the achievements of this remarkable woman.
The home and gardens will not be open to the public immediately; we need to develop our plans, which will take time. We’ll be engaging with stakeholders, the local community, and statutory bodies to explore how Munstead can be best protected and provide public benefit.
