Spotted some gorgeous baby donkeys today on Hyde Common 😍 plus the ponies and cows enjoying the Spring weather ⛅

We are so lucky to have free roaming ponies, donkeys and cows here in the Forest. But to protect them, keep your distance - don't touch or feed them, and drive carefully on roads in the New Forest.

Cycle to the fantastic Royal Oak in Fritham, looping back via the forest roads. Lots of pubs on the way for refreshment! Took me 3 hours but I am very slow!

Welcome to Flaxfield House!

In a peaceful corner of the New Forest, you will find Flaxfield House. Located within the grounds, are our three hidden gems: our stylish holiday homes, each sleeping two adults.

​Flaxfield House is an easy walk to two local pubs, a restaurant and a café. You can walk directly onto the footpath network from our walled garden, or borrow one of our mountain bikes and explore the Forest on two wheels.

For the ultimate escape in beautiful surroundings, just choose your favourite: The Goat Shed, Butler's Rest or The Hayloft and book your stay! We look forward to welcoming you soon.
