Art history has never been so entertaining or accessible
If you think art history is boring, let me change your mind. I am an art historian who brings art to life. Sometimes quite literally. In my own inimitable style, I weave together the narratives within artworks with the quirky, often scandalous biographies of the artists, owners and, of course, the works themselves. If there's something strange going on, I'll find it. If there's gossip, I'll share it. I combine all you ever wanted to know about paintings, artists, movements, isms (!!) with arty-facts that you didn't even know you were wondering about. The bonus is that I have devised some unique ways to share my knowledge. The 'Curated Cocktails and Canapés' series, available on my website, YouTube and across my social media channels, makes use of a green screen and iPhone camera to create entertaining bite sized arty titbits. Virtual Art History Salons expand on themes such as Greek Mythology, Divas and Wicked Women. A Romp Through the National Gallery reveals a potted history of western art in six paintings.
