This 12mm G2 is the most striking colour combo of the new range of Sidewalk Surfers and is my chosen demo for Hell's Mouth. With the front truck fairly loose it is really turny and fun and gr8 riding the new estate tarmac. I plan to put these12mm Sidewalk Surfers, with palm tree logo, out at the beach for £175, which will be a significant discount on the budgeted price.

Here are the 18mm G2 Sidewalk Surfers shaped from super sanded 13 ply white poplar with no surface plugs or defects and with two varnish coats.
Decks printed to show off the stunning grains and birds eye patterns. Base printed with the original 1997 Still Stoked logo. Paris V3 matt black coated 150 trucks with 1/4" Paris risers, gold king pins, nuts and logo detail, Orangatang 65mm 77A blue 'Love Handles' wheels on Mini*Logo bearings.
These Sidewalk Surfers are a solid non flexible platform for maximum thrust into turns with the World famous Paris 150 trucks. The 50mm contact patch of the Orangs 65mm Love Handles provides an amazing fast ride on the soft 77A duro urethane poured in California. These are arguably the best longboard surfsk8 down the line and carving wheels yet. These 2nd Generation Sidewalk Surfers continue the lightning bolt theme and pin line. A totally unique and awesome Sidewalk Surfer from Still Stoked for all skill sets and riding styles. £260 complete at Hells Mouth from Sunday 28th July and other destinations later. £275 inc Carriage from workshop.

The Sidewalk Surfer 2nd Generation has landed. 12mm Baltic birch ply deck shaped by Emma Jones at Lydwood, Forest of Dean, 3rd generation wood machinist. Her grandfather Robert Jones produced Great Britain's first mass produced skateboard deck in 1977/78 (FLYER) and Nick has been shaping decks for Still Stoked since 1997. The 12mm Sidewalk Surfer is the progressive model which since 2012 I have only made a small number. The decks are 2 coat lacquered/varnished. I then take them to Jason Palmer at Five Valley Signs and Labels, Stonehouse where the latest UV printing technology has turned them into real beauties. The iconic Gerry Lopez inspired lightning bolt has been the central graphic since I designed the Sidewalk Surfer in 2012 (loads of images in the photo albums). The underside Palm tree StillStoked graphic by Tea Wright also since 2012 is released for these progressive 12mm Sidewalk Surfers. Mounted on hardware from Shiner DSTREET with a front CX type truck the ride is fluid, carvey and very responsive. I have spent two summers riding this 12mm progressive and it is great fun, works like a surfboard and is a brilliant tarmac surfer. This is not a Carver type board it is designed to respond to the body moves of a longboard surfer on a green wave. A chilled, no pressure fun surfsk8 longboard for surf orientated longboard skating. without overstating it I have used the term surfsk8 at Still Stoked since the beginning pre 1997 not surf skate, I leave that to the mass producers. A couple of tasters here going with me to Llangennith this week.
Oh Ye I nearly forgot, look out for my new cool 2006 VW T5 with added logos and graphics done by the Five Valley Signs and Labels team today!
All pics taken in bad light today.

Its been a while, but its warm and the tarmacs dry. Had a quick trial run on a new sidewalk surfer set up this afternoon . Two solid coats of lacquer in the spray booth has produced a finish like glass and my cons stick like no other and squeeeek when I move my feet around!!! That is the best yet. The new hardware set up is the awesome Paris V3 matt black 150 carving trucks with gold hardware accents and running with Orangatangs 65mm 77a blue love handles wheels. The Orangs are def harder than the75a Flashbacks so not so super quiet but man they are fast and only needs a slight incline and the sidewalk surfer starts to fly with one push.
Now here's the thing, Tea, I and Ocean are moving up the road in a couple of weeks to a new build estate with brand new black tarmac everywhere. Its gonna be a Still Stoked Sidewalk Surfer Summer.
The all new 2024 Lightning bolt sidewalk surfer deck is going to be red with yellow bolt. Red or yellow Still Stoked screen print graphics underneath and the super grip lacquer. The decks are on all new 18mm White Poplar ply replicating birch ply and with some gorgeous grains on the Clear top version, if wood grains is your thing.
Prices will be coming in at £250 which is one hell of a good package for 2024, given the Still Stoked Sidewalk Surfer came to the market at £150 in 2012 and given today's upgrades on hardware quality.
Pics will follow in due course. Stay stoked, Donny

Just dropped Tea off at Craft fair this morning, headed back in the drenching rain, turned car radio on, heard Dame Donna Langley on Desert Island Discs, (what a lady!!!) choose This is the Day and the blast from the past hit me like a tornado. This is an all time song, which back in 1983 it stuck in my head and my life did change, now re-united with it my life (my family's) about to change again as tomorrow we look at a house we may be moving to. I played this song from the The Soul Mining album over and over but then lost it and went back to Floyd and the rest. The beat, rhythm, mouth organ and voice of Matt Johnson takes on ever greater depth and impact in this official video. A truly awesome travelling, surfing, skating song of all time. Some see it as melancholic - to me it is just the most amazing song still stoked forever.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXaEAoRUkfE

Just had confirmation of B2B account with J&R Sports. Now have a source of Paris V3 trucks and Orangatang super soft cruisey Love Handle and President wheels. Still Stoked Reloaded is taking shape. First project Sidewalk Surfer M2 shaping in October.

19/08/2023

Good time at Hells Mouth. Sold a good number of boards and loads of Tea's creations. Got the swell two weeks ago up at Shops but had to be satisfied with reforms on the inside. Just couldn't get out beyond the last wave on my 10ft. Very clean with overhead walls. Going hollow as tide filling.
Back home early this time, lots on and working on a new version of the sidewalk surfer. 18mm white poplar rather than birch, booth sprayed/lacquered finish and screen print bolt and rail pin lines. Planning to put this beauty on the new Paris V3 matt black trucks (gold kingpins, nuts and etched graphics. Arguably the best longboard truck in the world right now. Wheels offset 77A 65mm blue orangatang love handles wheels and seismic built in bearings. It will be the first of Still Stoked Reloaded series. Shaping decks scheduled for early October.

I shall have lots of new stuff for sale at Hells Mouth from the middle of next week, including Tea's awesome metalwork creatures, her ever popular sea creatures crochet and her lovely new polymer clay oc-tea-pus necklaces and key rings.

15/07/2023

Just got my new Rip Curl blind stitched summer wettie. We, as in Ocean and I, plan to be at Hell's Mouth a week from next Wednesday. We shall be mounting the flexi solar panel on the roof in the next few days. A piece of kit which promises to be a game changer!

Here you are Dave, pretty boring looking right now, but the interior is awesome for space, storage and seating and has a more than half decent loo - gone are the days of a portaloo in cupboard. Just got to work out how to use it all, um not the loo that is :). The Hymer build quality is pretty stunning tho' and a testament to German manufacturing. Tea says I must wait till end of summer to decide if I want to keep it before plastering it with stickers and spray images. Just had a guy stopped and asked her the other day if it was for sale, cos his dad had one for years and so reliable. Time will tell after I've been over the Welsh mountains how it goes. One thing is pretty certain if I keep it, it will probably be the last so I think I'm going to be going down memory lane with it. Starting to load up with still stoked longboards n stuff now for summer trip to Hells Mouth.

27/06/2023

Ye favourite vans get under your skin but when its gone its gone. I've got another now, 31 yrs old left hand drive, back to the 90s roots, Hymer on Ducato cab, its gr8, drives real well, loads of room and storage, rather puts the old auto homes to shame but it doesn't have the back door. Longboards will have to go in thru rear window. Getting ready for Hells Mouth, shorter trip this year. No stickers yet, got to see if it lives up to expectations first.

Here is the current stock of crocheted cephalopods from Oc-tea-pus that I will be selling up at Hell's Mouth from 15th July. Prices start from as little as £5 and there are octopus, squid, cactopuses in pots and octopus fidget friends which are on carabiners.

Hopefully they will all have loving new homes by the end of summer!

We've collaborated with Oc-tea-pus to create a small number of one off design boards for this summer up in Hell's Mouth, North Wales. Mostly the Surf Flyer but also a couple of our new Travel-Boards.
We think they are awesome!

When I look back through the photo gallery at the boards which have been both fun and a privilege to make I realise just how much I've taken it all for granted. Nick has brought me up short - birch ply nearly all comes from Russia. That's over and besides which I shall not be using it any more. Once my current small stock of decks have gone that will be that. My dilemma is do I do the decent thing and keep the prices the same, pretty much as I've always done (Travel Boards were £99 when Tea and I started selling them in 2001 now they are £100!) or do I follow the commercial world and bump the prices up. Well its a moral call I think. Miki Dora never changed, I wonder what he'd do now. I doubt I shall have more than 20 boards this year, 10 on birch ply 10 on poplar. They will cost more but I have 3 sets of really good carve type trucks and they are destined for my last sidewalk surfers, so I may do something inspired by the artwork of Jeff Ho. Times are changing fast, I think I want to surf out my last active years, roll the tarmac, sell the occasional one offs maybe. I do have a stack of my own ash and that makes great mini cruisers.

All loaded for Hells Mouth with some new board designs from Tea Wright. Not so many boards as previous years, hardware remains in very short supply and cost of birch ply has gone through the roof. TB60s, Sidewalk Surfers, Stingers, a 5ft cruiser and special 6ft landsurfer plus a couple of sweet flyers. Loads of surf jewellry and Tea's sea creatures, with speciality crochet jelly fish back after popular demand and lots of octopus, including suckers to stick on windows etc. These Stingers are real beauties on Paris 150s and OJ super juice wheels.

That time of year again.
Tea is sanding longboard decks tomorrow.
Got six Sidewalk Surfer decks shaped for this summer's sale coming out at £150, if I can get trucks. Probably going on Bear 181s from STEEZ in Netherlands. UK suppliers hit the floor on longboard hardware, really depressing, plus of course they are evacuating to the continent. Not sure about wheels yet, sure they'll be tops. TB60s Travel Board in 21st year of production this year. Ye that's right Tea and I started that board back in 2001, based on Tea's Naut Skate slider.
A possible new project brewing for Still Stoked 25 years in 2022

The Da Cat 6ft landsurfer posted 23rd is in memory of Miki. Tea and I drove into Guethary in Autumn 2001. There was a medium sized intermittent swell and no one out. Hoped to see Miki doing his thing. Asked some local guys where he lived and was shocked to hear he was really ill. Days later he returned to America for the last time and died a couple of months later from pancreatic cancer. He was only 67. He was one of the last of a kind who resisted the commercialism of surfing and competition, hated the system, lived outside the box and was arguably the greatest surfer of his lifetime. The landsurfer £400 plus £15 carriage will go to Hells Mouth tomorrow around midday unless someone puts a £100 deposit on it by 11a.m. 28th July. Still Stoked have produced the landsurfer since 1997 when it was the longest skateboard manufactured for sale by hand in the world. Some years later Ham brothers in California brought out their version of the Landsurfer when Matt Buffalo Hammersley from the Forest of Dean informed them they were not the first as the Landsurfer was Donny Wright's brainchild.

23/07/2020

Taking this one to Hells Mouth in memory of iconoclast Miki Dora. Art work by Tea Wright. Paris 195 trucks for super stable ride and Mini Logo 80A 63mm wheels.
