Spotlight on Gran Melia Iguazu 🇦🇷

Such a stunning hotel! In the most beautiful location, overlooking the incredible Iguazu Falls! Dave and I visited Iguazu back in 2016 and it has such a special place in my heart - such stunning scenery, from the force of nature as you take in the size of the falls and the huge amount of wildlife around.

⭐️ Off the beaten track adventures
I love this style of travel myself and have a whole host of hidden gems I can recommend.

⭐️ Sustainable travel
A focus on more responsible travel is definitely growing. Personally I am really focusing on this - recommending hotels and suppliers that i have researched have good ‘green’ credentials and working with Trees4Travel to offset my (and my customers) carbon footprint.

⭐️ Multi-Generational travel
Grandparents, parents and children all travelling together can be daunting and sometimes difficult to organise. For me it is just another day in the office 😉

⭐️ Wellness and Mindfulness
From spa breaks to more immersive yoga retreats and even hotels that are focused on complete detox. Iv’e been putting together some amazing breaks for people this year both near and far.

Not only is January the perfect time to take advantage of the early bird discounts. It is also the best time to get availability for some of the most sought after holidays where demand is high and availability is limited.

Here are the most common types of holiday where you should book now to avoid disappointment:

I'm Sorrel, I'm 36 and married to a gorgeous Paramedic, Dave. We have 2 crazy boys, Cooper is 7 and Bramm is 6. (Piccie taking at our friends wedding back in September 24)

I've lived all over, from Leeds to London and lots of towns and cities in between and even a stretch in Australia.

I got married in Vietnam- on a private boat in Halong Bay- so if you need destination wedding tips- I've been there and got the t-shirt!

I started my own travel business in 2020, so I have a skill for timing 😂 but even in a pandemic, I haven't looked back. I consider myself so lucky to be involved in such a great industry and be part organisation of the Travel Counsellor community that places the customer at the heart of everything we do.

Some of my favourite destinations have been New Zealand, Argentina and the Channel Islands in our very own UK. And in 2025 you'll see me back in Vietnam with the family, taking a campervan around the NC500 in Scotland and also heading to Barbados for a long weekend with the hubby 😎💃🎉

It is true - as a small business owner I do a happy dance each time I make a booking. When you book with me you are supporting a dream. You are booking with someone that cares. No call centres, no waiting on hold, you speak to me and me alone.

Spotlight on Kapama River Lodge, South Africa 🐘🇿🇦

I was lucky enough to stay at Kapama River Lodge back in March this year and I never miss an opportunity to recommend it to my customers.

Not only did we see the big 5 here in less than 24 hours! It was one of the most comfortable safari experiences I have been on, and made completely unforgettable by the knowledgable guide and expert trackers on our game drives.

Here are a few reasons why I love recommending Kapama for a safari experience:

🦁 They never allow more than 2 safari vehicles near an animal, that means no over crowding, and letting the wild animals be WILD, giving them space and respect they deserve!
🐃 The accommodation standard is incredible! The rooms are beautiful (and have recently gone through a renovation) the pool areas are relaxing and serene, and the restaurants are impeccable.
🐆 Everything is included; the excellent a la carte menus, the extensive wine selection, 2 game drives a day, and even pick ups from the airport in your own safari vehicle.
🦏 The Spa itself deserves a mention, never have I had a massage with amazing views over the bush - such an amazing experience and I would recommend it to everyone
🐘 Comfy safari vehicles - as any of you who have been on safari before will know... some safari vehicles can leave you with back ache - especially considering the length of time you are in them. Kapama vehicles are super spacious and have padded seating ❤
