Check your passports!

Our very important travel documents have been pretty much resigned to the Man drawer, the spare room or the holiday cupboard for 2 years now. Check your passport is no more than 10 years old from date of issue and has the required amount left for your destination as well ( from that date of issue )

“The Home Office has urged British travellers not to leave their passport applications to the last minute, reiterating a 10-week turnaround first advised in April 2021 with demand at “an all-time high”.
The reminder came amid national media reports of some customers having to cancel holiday plans due to applications not being processed in time.
Due to Covid, the Passport Office saw a significant decline in the number of people applying, with more than five million delaying their applications throughout 2020 and 2021.
But with international travel returning, increasing numbers are applying for new documents.
While there are services for those who need their passport urgently, appointment availability is limited, the Passport Office said.
People are being advised to apply early and allow up to 10 weeks for the process to “help ensure their holiday plans go smoothly”.

Thanks to the skyliner, upgraded food options and vast resort area this resort is fantastic value £for£
Found in the Epcot area of Disneyworld, Caribbean Beach consists of vibrant colours, great theming and with an overall distinct tropical feel. There are 5 “islands “where the rooms are located surrounding Barefoot Bay, they include Jamaica, Barbados, Martinique, Trinidad and Aruba.
The main entry point is called Old Port Royale where most of the main services are located – check in, concierge, dining and the gift shop, Not to forget the beaches, swimming is not allowed in the lakes, but you will find several beach areas throughout the resort where you can relax or take in the sunset/ sunrise.
ROOMS – Standard or Preferred …perfectly themed rooms and can sleep anything from 2- 5 people depending on the room type chosen, each room comes with hairdryer, TV, free wifi, coffee machine, in room safe, Iron and board and a mini fridge, plenty of sockets for charging those important devices!
Rooms have plenty of drawer and closet space although there isn’t enough space in these rooms to slide your suitcase under the bed, Bathrooms have a separate sink vanity area to the bath/ toilet are, so someone can be having a shower whilst others are doing hair and make up, brushing teeth etc.
Preferred rooms cost a little more as they are closer to amenities
Pirate Rooms – Full on Captain Jack, you won’t be disappointed, ships for beds, crates for drawers and barrels as bedside tables, not sure they have rum in them though
POOLS – 1 main pool and 5 leisure pools one in each island area.
DINING – several great options, both quick service and table service
PROS – beautiful grounds, great pools, marshmallow roasting on the beach, access to the skyliner
CONS – It’s a spread out resort ( could be a pro to be honest too ! ) it has a fair few stops on the bus getting to parks and back

Family suites come in 3 different themes, Cars, finding nemo and the lion king, perfect for larger families, as can accommodate up to 6 people with 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette.
Animation Hall is where you will find reception, gift shop, food court and the games room, parking is chargeable per night.

Cons - Its a spread out resort, patchy wifi and mobile signal, it is the most expensive of the value resorts and the family suites sell fast and a rarely included in any promotions

Another Disney Value resort, this one is located in the wide world of sports area. This resort celebrates the fads of the 1950’s through to the 1990’s and honours catchphrases, toys, dances and fashion
Each building is dedicated to a specific decade and is accompanied by over the top statues such as Roger Rabbit, Big Wheels, Play Doh and the Rubiks cube
Rooms – Recently re modelled, cartoon style, modern, The recent re model has thoughtfully incorporated more storage, so your suitcases slide under the bed, there’s a dresser and another wardrobe in the bathroom area. The rooms either feature 1 king bed or 2 queen beds, if the later the 2nd queen bed folds down from the wall, meaning there is more floor space during the day, there’s standard inclusions such as a hairdryer, iron and board, coffee machine and mini fridge
Pro’s – affordable and fun theming, dedicated buses just covering this resort and its walkable to Art of animation

We thought we would do a series on the different types of Resorts Disney in Florida have to offer, it’s a vast array of properties over a massive area.

All Star Resorts – Disney’s version of a budget resort, there are 3 different All star’s – Movies, Sport and Music all set together. They all have their own reception, pools, and food court and of course the gift shop, where you can purchase a magic band at the start of your stay, for instant swipe in and out of rides and entrance to the parks, this is instead of the credit card style ticket you are issued with.

Rooms – Recently re modelled, cartoon style, compact but modern. Check in at 3pm check out at 11am, 2 x double beds, dresser, small table and 2 chairs, flat screen Tv and a mini fridge, hair dryer and in room safe. For larger family groups a long stay in one room may prove interesting due to the size of rooms, but if you travel light and really love each other ??

Location and Transportation These resorts are located nearest to animal Kingdom and these resorts are connected by buses only to all the parks

ItsSo Travel are the new generation of travel agents where the emphasis is on providing an experience from start to finish when booking a holiday.

Do you have a passion for travel and a desire to create lifelong memories for our customers by designing dream holidays? You will need great customer service skills and the ability to be creative if you want to create those ultimate trips! We are not looking for 'order takers' so tell us how you will enhance our brand with your skills.

Our store is open 7 days a week so you will be required to work weekends but in return you will get a competitive salary and a great environment in which to work as we are not your average travel agency. Based on a 5 day working week of 39 hours and all the usual benefits associated of working within the travel industry.

Good news Thursday!!

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has confirmed that the complicated and lengthy UK Passenger Locator Form will be ditched from 4am tomorrow and replaced with a simplified version.

At the same time, the Day 2 COVID test for fully vaccinated arrivals will be scrapped, saving a family of four returning from a half-term holiday at least £50.

Those who don’t qualify as fully vaccinated will still need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before day 2 after they arrive in the UK.

** NHS APP NOW AVAILABLE FOR TEENS TO PROVE VACCINATION STATUS FOR TRAVEL**
How will the new digital Covid passport system work?
For 13 to 15-year-olds the pass will work the same for children as it does for adults. Children must create an NHS account with which to log on to the NHS App, where they will find proof of vaccination status and proof of prior infection.
Children aged 12 are barred from using the app ( we understand this is an apple app age rule ) and must use their NHS account to log on to a web browser to access proof of vaccination status and proof of prior infection.
Does my child need to register to receive their Covid passport?
Yes. Children will need to register for an NHS account to access their digital NHS Covid Pass. They can do this themselves or a parent or guardian can register on their behalf.
While it usually takes about 24 hours to verify identity, it can sometimes take a few days, so parents are encouraged to register in advance.
Children aged 13 to 15 can then sign into the NHS App to access their Covid passport. While children aged 12 must sign in to the NHS website via a web browser to retrieve their vaccination passes.
