This was an absolute WOW moment for me .... I love Turtles and this was the first time I've ever been lucky enough to come close to them in their natural habitat.
We were so fortunate to be able to combine both the Manta Ray and the Turtle snorkel trips.

Today I did a thing …. Swimming/snorkelling with Manta Rays and Turtles is available at an extra charge at Emerald Resorts in the Maldives.

🦄 🪸 A Unicorn Fish! 🤿 🐟
Just as we were finishing up our morning snorkel this guy came along to say hello!
Aptly named the Unicorn Fish, for very obvious reasons …. These awesome fish never use use their horn to attack or even defend itself, he’s harmless and lives on algae, they can live for up to 20 years in the ocean 🌊
Teppanyaki night at Le Asiatique, this is included in the superb all inclusive packages at the Emerald resorts in the Maldives 🔪 🔥 🍣
Bikes for each Villa are also included, I prefer to cycle for the breeze as it’s hot hot hot even though September is an off peak month, we’ve not had a bad weather day so far! ☀️ 🚲

🤿 🐠 🪸 A little snippet of the snorkelling available from right outside of our Villa. We can access the water from the beach, or the jetty if the tide is high as there’s a rock shelf to get over.
A very long travel day to get to the Maldives, but oh so worth it for views like these! 😍🤩
🏝️ We’ll be spending the next few nights in a beach villa with pool at Emerald Maldives, I was unaware this villa comes with its own little private beach and a sunbathing jetty that you share with 1 neighbour with steps down into the ocean.
🌴 🦇 The resort here is now around d 5years old so has some amazing, well established plant life on the island which is home to some stunning birds and even huge bats, which are just adorable with their fluffy faces, I’ll try to get a good photo if I’m able.
I’d rather be in Crete on a windy day with this view and that lovely warm air 🥰
