Holliday’s are cruising Day 7 = Genoa and time to disembark.

Time to leave 😞
In true yacht club style our butler guided us to the port, good job as we are reluctant to get off 🤣

We skipped all the queues and straight to our luggage that we had put outside our cabin the night before.

We booked a hotel near the airport Marina Palace that was ideally located on the marina dotted with restaurants and with the most stunning views. Nice yachts too 😎

Dropped our luggage at the hotel and headed to Genoa old town via the train. 1.50 euros each on the train and a 25 min train ride we arrive in Genoa old town.

We start on foot getting lost through the beautiful streets and amazed by the architect of the buildings. We decided to take the hop and off bus, a great app to down load is the city sight seeing pass. We love these as they give you all the history and landmarks to see in the city.

Genoa you are so pretty but you broke me 16k steps 😳

I’m now at the airport as I write this and it’s great to see an exclusive lounge for MSC guests, note this is only open on days the ship is in port.

Am I converted to Cruising, it’s a big huge YES from me and the hubby 🚢🚢🚢🚢

Holliday’s are cruising - Day 5 - Barcelona

What a day 🤩

Top tip
Pre book your excursions if you haven’t been before.

I am lucky to have visited this amazing city before so we planned where we wanted to specifically go.

We prebooked the shuttle bus on board to the city which took around 10mins and dropped 5 mins walk to the amazing Las Rambles.

A gentle stroll along the Las Rambles taking in the atmosphere, there are lots of restaurants and eatery’s along the way but my advice is go to the food market where you can really have an authentic foodie experience.

The smell, the taste , the sights wows you around every corner and stall. This was a true highlight.

We then took took the open air bus around the city which also gives you an audio option to hear all about the landmarks and history of Barcelona.

We got off at the Sagrda Familia and wow what a pinch me moment this place is incredible 🤩

Hollidays are cruising - Day 4 At Sea 🚢

Let’s talk food, entertainment and Yacht Club.

Today we are at sea, the morning we chilled in the Top Sail Lounge which is exclusive to Yacht Club Members.
Here you have a range of constant tapas on tap 🤩, access to a wide range of drinks including cocktails, soft drinks and hot drinks. The lounge is right at the front of the ship and offers spectacular views over the ocean.

It was then time to catch the rays by the pool on top deck again exclusive to Yacht Club Members with free pool towels, a bar and restaurant for lunch and drinks. It’s so relaxing and calm ☺️

The food on board is outstanding and with our own exclusive yacht club restaurant. It’s amazing how they remember what wine you like to drink and greet you by name.

We then headed to the theatre for the evening show. Guess what - exclusive seating area for Yacht Club Members. The show was outstanding and the atmosphere was amazing 🤩

It’s refreshing to have a day at sea to recharge before your next port of call.

Holidays are cruising - Day 3 - Casablanca

Today we arrived in Casablanca 😎 as we have a busy day ahead we ordered breakfast to the cabin 😀 think the pictures say it all 👏 a very happy husband.

My top tip!
Pre book your excursions, availability was limited, you don’t want to be disappointed.

Experience the highlights of the destination with skilled and qualified guides.

Casablanca was bustling, the stunning Hassan II Mosque & vibrant markets are highlights of this city.

After almost 10k steps we were delighted to be back on the ship for lunch, drinks and a very welcoming sunbed 😎

Cruising with the Holidays -Day 2 at Sea

Today was time to explore this beutiful ship and wow she is big!

I was also lucky to see the top suite -Sophia Loren ( see pics) 🤩

Entertainment for everyone from shows, dance lessons, piano bar, jazz music, disco, 4d cinema, sports arena, games arcade , casino, gym, spa, shopping, aqua park, bingo and much much more.

Family entertainment is also outstanding with aqua park, F1 simulator virtual word, games arcade, entertainment for teens and kids.

Everyday we get a daily planner with a full a schedule of the days activities 🌟

And much more 🤩

After a morning of exploring it was time to hit top deck and at hit some rays and a dip in the pool and whirlpool bath.

Evening was spent watching the sunset, a fabulous meal followed by drinks in the top sail lounge and listening to the amazing sounds of a saxophone 🤩

The service is amazing, where ever we go in yacht club they greet us by our names - super friendly ☺️
