Welcome to Österlen!
7 DAY PAINTING RETREAT 🎨
22nd – 29th August 2020

Come and discover and develop the artist within you in beautiful surroundings and nature.

The purpose of the retreat is to give you time for free creation, reflection and new impressions in a relaxed atmosphere. All participants’ paint from their own starting point.

On arrival we will introduce you to the surroundings and you can make a start collecting materials and inspiration for your paintings. Throughout the week you will be free to paint as much as you wish and alongside this we will be arranging outings to nearby attractions, restaurants and going on local walks 🏃

There are additional activities on offer throughout the week including hiking, cycling 🚴🏻‍♀️ or taking part in morning Qi gong 🧘‍♂️ as well as visiting many restaurants and beautiful local cafes and shops ☕️🍽🍡🥧

All services are within ten minutes reach from the accommodation - supermarket , ATM, pharmacy etc.

The nearest towns are Ystad and Simrishamn, twenty minutes by car where there is a wider range of shops and restaurants.

• Have some knowledge of painting oil, acrylics or water paints
• Seek a relaxed environment to harness your creativity and explore new ideas

• 6 days studio time with easels and tables accessible from 9.30 am – 5 pm daily.
Tea and coffee will be served daily

• Self-catering accommodation in one of our beautiful cottages

• Support and guidance from an art teacher will be available daily

(Please note art materials and food are not included / apart from a welcome and farewell dinner)

Fly from London – to Copenhagen (aprox 1 hours 20 minutes)

🚞 Train from Copenhagen airport to Ystad (one change at Malmö/Hyllie approx. 1 hours 20minutes)

We are a family run self catering cottage rental in the heart of Skåne, Sweden, owned by Majvor Darnton and Göran Landh.

We have three beautiful, traditional Swedish cottages available which in total sleep up to 20 guests, these are all family friendly and can be rented individually or on an exclusive use basis.
