⬇️How to maximise your annual leave in 2024 (UK)⬇️
If you’re like me and are looking to make the most of the days you book off work, there’s a way that you can bag a lovely 49 days of holiday by taking just 21 days of leave.
The key to the hack is taking time off around the bank holiday weekends.
🐣Easter - book off April 2, 3, 4 and 5, this will bag you 10 days off, including the weekends.
😎May - if you take off May 7, 8, 9 and 10, you’ll get 9 days off, including the two weekends.
☀️End of May - you can get 9 days of holiday by booking off May 28, 29, 30 and 31.
🏝️End of August - you can bag 9 days out of the office by taking just 4 days of annual leave on August 27, 28, 29 and 30.
🎄December - take December 23, 24, 27, 30 and 31 as annual leave then you can get yourself a nice 12 days off work, as January 1, will also be a bank holiday.
Will you be booking time off strategically next year to maximise your annual leave?

✨TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY✨
⬇️How to maximise your time off work in 2023 (UK)⬇️
If you’re looking to make the most of your days relaxing, there’s a way that you can bag a whopping 48 days of holiday by taking just 19 days of leave. The key to the hack is taking time off around the bank holiday weekends, as well as Easter and Christmas.
Also, in 2023, we will get an additional bank holiday to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III, taking total Bank Holiday days to 9.
🐣Easter - you can get 10 days off by taking just 4 days of annual leave. Good Friday is on April 7 and Easter Monday on April 10. So if you book off April 3, 4, 5 and 6, you will be able to bag 10 days off, including the weekends.
😎May - you can book 4 days of holiday and get 10 days off. Again, there’s 2 bank holidays; first one falls on May 1, and the bonus one for the Coronation is on May 8. So if you take off May 2, 3, 4 and 5, you’ll get 10 days off, including two weekends. (I have personally made use of this one🇮🇹)
☀️May/June - you can get 9 days of holiday by using just 4 days of allowance. The late May bank holiday which falls on May 29. If you take four days off work, from Tuesday, May 30, through to Friday, June 2, you can get another nine consecutive days of holiday.
🏝️August/September - you can bag 9 days out of the office by taking just 4 days of annual leave on August 29, 30, 31 and September 1 and you will get another 9 days of paid leave thanks to the bank holiday which falls on August 28.
🎄December - if you book 3 days’ holiday, you will get 10 days off the job. There are two bank holidays that fall on December 25 (Christmas Day), and December 26 (Boxing Day). By booking the 3 days off after this, December 27, 28 and 29, you can get yourself a huge 10 days off work, as January 1, will also be a bank holiday.
Do you like to book your holidays strategically? Or are you not too fussed either way?
