💙🐘💙OUR NAME …. where did we get it from? Who chose it? 💙🐘💙

Wonder Van means many things to many people. Your break from reality, a safe haven, the base for your favourite adventure, a place to spend time with the ones you love, a place where you seek solitude or make new friends.

We have been honoured to have people spend their final holiday with family at Wonder Van knowing soon they’ll begin a new journey in the next life. Brand new families have had their first holiday too. Be it through a private booking or through our yearly gifted holiday.

The name Wonder Van came from our ( seven in total ) children when they realised that their crazy mums ( two best friends ) took a risk and bought the van, aiming to create a place where we could make memeories with our own families.

We haven’t looked back or regretted a thing.

2023 has been another amazing year and we’ve welcomed lots fantastic guests new and old !
We appreciate each and every one of you !

We thought a little behind the scenes access might be a nice idea as we roll forward into our 3rd year💙🐘💙

Wonder Van is non profit. Renting out helps take pressure off of us bills wise but it does not cover everything. Keeping wonder van running costs around £10k a year !! And that’s if nothing goes wrong and we don’t keep upgrading. This year alone there have been new mattresses, new tvs and the van was completely reupholstered! ( courtesy of the brilliant Newton Fabrics ). This doesn’t include our free bedding and fully loaded condiments, tea and coffee, free high speed wifi and all the added comforts. All of this comes from our pockets, we love keeping the van to high standard for all.

♥️We also still give away as many stays as possible to guests in all walks of life. ♥️

We do all of the cleaning and change overs ourselves, making sure that you also have what you need to clean any accidents that occur.

We are Bex and Sam- two besties that started this adventure together much to the exacerbation of our long suffering husbands 😄.
We each have three children and 4 full time jobs between us. Not including the husbands 😳. Life is very busy and wonder van is our little bit of bliss away from reality, just like it is for you. We feel so very blessed to have it 💙🐘💙.

As we go into 2024 and in order to keep running we unfortunately cannot swallow the price increases. A bottle of gas has gone from £44 to around £80 depending on supplier…. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
We have to increase our prices☹️.

HOWEVER !!!!!
We will still be much better value for money than booking with the caravan holiday giant.
Wonder Van will continue to be more luxurious, more equipped and just plain fantastic than a fleet van.

You will continue to receive the service that only a private owned van can provide. Owners on hand to sort any issue that may crop up; such as “ how do we work this boiler” … that’s a fave 😝.

So that’s us. We can’t wait to welcome you back and meet new guests in 2024!
We hope you are able to remain with us during these crazy times when everyone is feeling the pinch. We promis to continue to give you as much as we can for your money as we navigate the cost of living crises together.
