a cosy luxurious shepherds hut

Sitting in the far corner of the field at Keepers Cottage, the Poachers Hut is a 7m Shepherds Hut hand-built by the English Shepherds Hut Company with a comfortable double bed with quality mattress, bedding and soft furnishings, beautiful oak floors and hand built kitchen - and its own HOT TUB and WOOD FIRED PIZZA OVEN.

The hut has mains water and electricity, an en-suite with shower and flushing toilet, planet friendly shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. The hut has comfy chairs and a small dining table, a cute wood burner with wood and kindling supplied. A generous welcome hamper (enough for breakfast) including fresh eggs from our hens and some home-made produce is supplied and in the small kitchen you will find a selection of coffee, tea, including decaf, condiments, marshmallows, popcorn etc. There is also a microwave, saute pan, fridge, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and kettle plus panini and smoothie makers and a small electric oven in the big woodstore.

The ‘always ready’ hot tub with massage jets is the perfect place to relax and is quite magical. Wood and charcoal for the fire pit/bbq is provided along with toasting forks and popcorn pan. The Igneus wood fired pizza oven comes with specially dried wood and kindling. You will also find towels and flip flops for the hot tub.

The Poachers Hut is a special outdoor boutique-hotel style retreat in the stunning Trossachs a mile from Scotland’s only lake, The Lake of Menteith. It is surrounded by wonderful walks, plentiful wildlife, cosy country pubs, cafe/delis and lots to see and do. Perfect for special celebrations and mini-moons and makes a perfect gift.
