On Thursday 9th January at 8pm Joanna Lumley narrates a Channel 5 travelogue featuring Majorca. It is one of their chosen Jewels of the Med!

She explores the culture, genuine beauty and history of Mallorca, I’m hoping it’s going to be an hour of discovery, I have visited many times, (spent every summer holiday there for years) but it is such a diverse island I am sure there will be plenty to learn!

There are some amazing accommodation options all over the island and, ideally, you need a 2 or 3 centre itinerary to appreciate the island including a couple of nights in the island’s wonderful capital of Palma.. I have so many suggestions!

This is the FCDO information page on new entry system for the Schengen area.

It is important for you if you are using a UK passport to travel to these areas from November 2024.

There will be new border checks as the European Union are planning to launch its Entry/Exit System (EES) which will require British passport holders to provide a fingerprint and iris scan for the first time they enter the EU after 10/11/24. (Most recent date we have been advised but subject to change!)

You do not need to do anything apart from being prepared for initial delays.
