Dreaming of balmy evenings al fresco with the sounds of village life gently chiming in the background? We are. Reminds us of our lovely time at The house in Aups, Provence. An ancient walled garden provides a sanctuary and hides a pool. Large rooms span across three floors and the kitchen ideal for summer suppers. Such a beautiful hotel. is in the heart of the historic city of Gothenburg, Sweden’s second city. Intersected by waterways and peppered with open squares and terraces it’s a gentle city, but one that’s full of fascinating ways to spend the day. Cornwall. Its not just for the school holidays … in fact if you can go outside of peak times you’ll experience a totally different Cornwall. Quieter. More relaxed. Fewer queues and less traffic!! The joy of walking a Cornish path or beach and not seeing another soul is utterly brilliant.

Skye. We love it. Rugged and beautiful it’s an island full of contrasts and surprises. Fabulous food and drink scene alongside waterfalls and quiet inlets. Imagine soaking up that view from the tub after a day skiing or hiking in Andorra. Beautiful Chillingham Manor in Northumberland - which will be closing its doors next summer - is the ideal location for escaping the ‘real’ world and exploring this stunning part of the world. Coast. I mean…look at them. These glorious interiors are enough to bring sunshine to what is a rather grey Saturday morning here. Nicola has created welcoming, fun, stylish and unusual spaces in the beautiful converted pub in the heart of fabulous Rye. The old Stout House sleeps 8 with plenty of living and bedroom space (and three bathrooms). There’s Rye and Dungeness in your doorstep and an area full of great places to explore, eat and drink.

London in the autumn. Crisp, sunny days. Walks along the Thames. Trips to the theatre. Twinkly lights on shop filled laneways. Romantic dinners in special restaurants. Welcoming pubs. Galleries packed full of beautiful things. History. Loads of history.. we love it

One special place we love as a base is Georgian House in stylish Pimlico. Part of group there are also apartments you can choose to stay in but if you’re traveling with kids they’ll love you even more for the wizard rooms! Fun.
