Very proud to have played a major part in the Ineos Grenadier Global Media Drive.
From planning and driving all of the routes, negotiating with land owners, putting the drive and support team together and working alongside the superb staff of Ineos Automotive & SWA.
It’s been an intense eight month project, culminating in leading a five week expedition style launch, for 150 of the worlds leading motoring media.
1400 miles, from John O’Groats to the Grenadier pub in central London.
Trip of a lifetime in an amazing vehicle, with a fantastic team.

Following yesterday's announcements by the Scottish and UK Government, we have had a number of enquiries asking how this may affect future bookings?
As an organised outdoor activity provider, we have to be COVID compliant, and work to current guidelines, as such there are no changes as to how we operate.
We will continue to follow current guidance and best practice, and adhere to social distancing, stringent cleaning regimes of equipment, with minimal impact on the award-winning activities that we offer.
We look forward to seeing you on our trips, enjoying the great outdoors in a safe and controlled environment.

This weekend we see the return to our first trips in four months, the Defender project has kept me partially sane during the lockdown. Now its time to get back out on the trails and we have our first three-day overland tour booked in for the 27th of July.
Still a couple of spaces available if you have a suitably equipped 4x4 and fancy an adventure in the Scottish Highlands.

It’s been a busy day stripping down and preparing the 110 for a complete chassis and body restoration, this is probably the cleanest Defender I’ve owned, no rot or welding, we will be treating the chassis to keep it going for the next 18 years, fresh new colour for the bodywork as well as preparing it for leading our guided camping tours.

This picture came up in my memories, it is of me and one of the many Land Rovers I have owned for both work and pleasure since the late 1970’s.
Twenty plus years as a tree surgeon saw me use 4x4’s and trailers on a daily basis both on and off-road.
Different times back then, hence the total lack of any safety equipment!!

As the Scottish government start to provide a route plan out of lockdown, we have been looking at how we might adapt our tours and activities to meet the new restrictions social distancing will impose on all of our lives for the foreseeable future.
While we wait for further guidance, we are also mindful that we live and run our business in a small rural community. We have a duty to not encourage unnecessary travel until the authorities say it is safe to do so, we will remain closed until then, but will make sure we are in a position to resume tours as soon as we are allowed.
We will start by reintroducing our quad bike and buggy tours with some small changes to meet current guidelines. 4x4 tours and target sports are still under review.
A full list of the way we have adapted tours, is available on our websites www.quadbiketours.co.uk & www.highlandallterrain.co.uk but if you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me [email protected].
We look forward to welcoming you all back when the time is right to share our beautiful landscape and award-winning tours with you, your families and friends. We will continue to post pictures which we hope will lift your spirits in difficult times. If you have been out with us in the past, please share your experience in a review on Facebook or TripAdvisor as it helps to keep our company profile in people’s minds in these very difficult times for small businesses and we're hoping with your support we can start getting our business back towards some degree of normality soon.
We are happy to pencil in tours and expressions of interest from early July, this will go a long way to help plan for the months ahead. We have opened up the online booking for July onwards, no deposit will be required at this time and we will update each booking as restrictions ease.

Thank you all for your amazing support.

Ian.

The past few weeks I have been keeping busy working on vehicles and a long overdue tidy of the workshop.
Time to sit on the bench with a cup of coffee and watch the snow showers roll in.

As the situation and advice around Covid 19 develops and the need to combat unnecessary travel and greater social distancing become imperative to tackle the virus, we will be ceasing all tours and training with immediate effect.
We will be contacting all customers with existing bookings over the next few days and have disabled the online booking facility until the end of June.
We need to protect our staff, customers and our local communities, so stay safe and listen to the expert guidance.
The mountains, lochs and our tours will still be there when we beat this terrible virus.
We will update the website and social media as necessary.

Quad Bike & 4x4 Tours & Covid 19

Like many small businesses, we have had to look at our policies and procedures in light of the current pandemic of Coronavirus.
Our plan is to remain open for business as usual and have taken a number of measures to protect both our customers and staff and make our procedures align with all current recommendations from the WHO and local government.

Our Quad Bike and Buggy tours will remain unaffected, but we have taken additional measures to assist with hygiene and social distancing and have provided a full list of the measures now in place on our website.

Both our quad biking and Buggy tours take place on open-sided/top vehicles and the benefit of being outside in the fantastic Scottish fresh air, social distancing at its best.

Unfortunately, we will not be running our Land Rover 4x4 safaris, as the close proximity of guests in an enclosed vehicle for extended periods of time would potentially expose too much risk to both customers and our staff.

Self-drive safaris will remain unaffected.

If you require any additional information please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected]

Working on this film has certainly been a highlight of my career, not just as a Land Rover fan, but a Bond fan too.
The Defenders went at this time and time again and took more abuse than any of us thought possible, I've owned Land Rovers for the past 37 years, I currently have 12, old and new and none would have survived what the new Defender went through.
I cant wait to see the film and of course the new Land Rover Defender when it hits the road in the next few months.
