Woke up to a fresh fall of snow on the mountains today.
Another fresh dusting of snow overnight #glencoe #highlands
It’s been a cold frosty day in the Highlands. Just sharing our view as the sunsets.
What a beautiful day in the Highlands today.
Winter reflections. Explore•Travel•Discover. Stay between the mountains and the sea.
A few sunset shots and an aurora from our archive. Have a great weekend whatever you’re up to. 😊
January weather in the Highlands is always “Eventful” and living in Glencoe with the rawness of nature just adds to the sense of wonder we still have with more than a decade living in the village.
Earlier this week Pier House was “humming” through the night with the wind screaming from the West and being funnelled by the local topography; so much that the bed was vibrating as we tried to sleep.
Yesterday, feeling a little stir crazy, we traveled South of Oban and this was the Firth of Lorn from Ellenabeich on the island of Seil, next to the historic slate island, Easdale. The shore was a mass of sea foam and Andy was nearly blown over trying to film the video.
Today we have a weather warning for snow this afternoon; really hoping we get a decent dump of the white stuff, which will be great for the ski centre…
Sharing a behind the scenes post with you all. Andy and I had a wild and windy day for some maintenance work. Fixing a pipe joint to the septic tank.
Romantic break, twinkly lights with a stunning view.
We are loving our 5* reviews, really pleased our guests are enjoying their time in The View.
Good morning from the Highlands, just a few steps from the front door of our self catering accommodation. #lochleven #papofglencoe #stunningviews
