Bad Weather trip cancellation refund update:

Firstly we hope that you're all safe and well in this terrible weather.

Today we have been in the process of refunding everyone who had planned on going on todays trip. The majority of you pay by PayPal payment links... Technology is brilliant when it works, but today its decided it won't!! We've contacted PayPal and after a very long time on hold, we were told the issue is being resolved and payments will go through within five days.

A few refunds have already gone through, but if yours hasn't and you need the refund urgently, please sent us an email and we'll arrange something for you.

Those of you that paid by Cheque or bank transfer, your (good, reliable old-fashioned) payments are all good and are in the process of being refunded at this moment in time 😊

RED WEATHER WARNING

Dear customers

The Difficult decision has been made to cancel tommrows trip to Cardiff, this is due to:

● The Met Office raising the alert to RED (don't travel) in South Wales
● The organisers of Cardiff Christmas Market have cancelled tommrow due to weather
● The Prince of Wales bridge is likely to be closed.

We hope you understand that this decision has been made with your safety in mind. Naturally we will give you all a full refund.

Apologies for the short notice, due to other essential commitments in the past couple of hours, this is the earliest we could let you know.

We will now be contacting people, but it would be a great help if you could give us a ring or send us a message in the meantime to get everyone aware quicker.

Coach Trip to Widecombe Fair 🌞🌳🎊

Set in beautiful Widecombe-in-the-Moor, Widecombe Fair is a rural show which has historically held a central position on the local agricultural scene. It attracts visitors from far and wide who flock to soak up the traditional unspoilt atmosphere that this event still retains...

There is a full programme of events to enjoy over the course of the day. These range from old favourites to exciting new special additions! Highlights include the Grand Parade and cup presentations, the Dartmoor Hill Pony Display, Terrier Racing, Dog Agility, Dartmoor Border Morris, Vintage Car Parade, Cattle Showing & Lumberjack Show.. Plus more.

As well as events in the ring, there are a range of interesting and amusing rural pastimes to see and take part in, such as Ferret Racing, Hay-Making and Bale-Tossing. The Fair is a showcase for the cream of locally-bred Dartmoor stock, as well as being the premier event of the moorland social calendar.

There’s always plenty to eat at the fair. In the village there’s Village Pubs, and The Cafe on the Green serving up delicious fare, and in the field there’ll be a great range of local food from all over Devon, offering a great range of different cuisines. The beer tent will be in place serving a range of good local beverages.

The fair promotes local craft stalls from photographers, jewellers and potters, to those working with leather, wool & wood, through to thatcher's, bakers and wheelwrights. There will be a range of people displaying a variety of skills on the Green and in the Craft Field.

The ever-popular music showcases great local artists playing throughout the day, both in the showground and in the village.

First up, a 1 hour circular River Exe boat cruise. The circular cruise departs from Exmouth Marina, travelling the peaceful waters of the river, up near Powderham Castle and along to where the river opens out into the English Channel. During each trip, your Skipper will give you livecommentary, ensuring that you get to see everything the beautiful river has to offer... Your boat will have good facilities including a WC, an open sundeck and an enclosed saloon bosting a bar serving refreshments.

Once back on dry land, you'll have the afternoon to explore Exmouth at your leisure. Why not enjoy a good lunch before enjoying a walk along the golden beachfront!

As January drags along, we are pleased to present our first trip of 2024 to look forward to...

The Frome Independent is a destination market, held on the first Sunday of the month spread across Frome town centre. It showcases the best independent craftspeople, designers, makers, food producers and vintage traders in the South West. And there’s always an energetic busy vibe with live music and plenty of food stalls as people flock to the event.

Frome is one of those rare little towns where independence and creativity has triumphed.
One of the joys of visiting Frome is exploring the independent businesses and the best places for this are Catherine Hill and what has been dubbed ‘Frome’s Artisan Quarter’.
