Can you guess which of our Abernethy specialist may have damaged this pinecone? The cone was found on the ground underneath the canopy of an ancient Scots Pine with the cone left almost spring-like to touch.

During the school holidays we are looking for Wildlife Explorers to help us understand more about our incredible forest and the wildlife that lives here.

Let us know what animal you think may have done this to a pinecone down in the comments. Extra points for any of the three species names! 🔍 (maybe a little clue there 👀)
