"Genuinely one of the best experiences of my life..."

"This is the perfect challenge for everyone, you don't need to be a top athlete or a mountaineering expert but it will push you whilst also providing memories for life.

We have been involved in Ultra Events before with the boxing so knew how well organised they are, I turned 30 this year and really wanted to do something that pushed me out of my comfort zone and raise money at the same time. So this was a no brainer and for a charity that means a lot to me. My partner and I raised just over £8,000.

It was genuinely one of the best experiences of my life, even on the tough days they are made unforgettable because of the people you are with both our group and the guides were incredible; we cried, laughed, sang and danced the whole way up and I have made friends for life. The whole experience was then topped with my partner proposing to me after we had summited back at camp. 100+ people singing to us - will always be one of the most special moments."

"I signed up because I was looking for an adventure coming out of the post-lockdown doldrums. Kilimanjaro certainly delivered!

It was probably the most challenging thing I’ve ever done — but the experience was genuinely life-changing.

People overuse the word “awesome” but it’s an accurate description of the scenery, the challenge and the people you’ll meet along the way.

I managed to raise £5,157 — mostly through posting weekly training videos on social media. I think the scale of the challenge and the worthiness of the cause captures friends and family’s imagination — so they can be quite generous with helping you reach your target."

Class of 2023: Meet Marc Copson🤩

"I signed up as I needed a challenge, I wanted to do something I have never done before and it would also allow me to get fit in the process. I have always raised money for charity and Cancer Research UK is close to my heart so Kilimanjaro was perfect.

After signing up, 3 other work colleagues decided to join me - we joined forces to ensure we could raise as much money as possible using our workplace contacts. In total, we raised in excess of £20,000 for CRUK which secured all 4 places for Kilimanjaro.

The experience was incredible and something I'll probably never get to do again, I have so many memories and if someone wants to get out of their comfort zone and do something good, this is the challenge for them."
