A few more photos of our Canada road trip.

It was so beautiful, we drove from Seattle and did a 1700 mile loop taking in Kelowna, Revelstoke, Banff & Jasper and back to Seattle via Kamloops.

So scenic and easy to navigate. My senses were completely re-awakened with the natural beauty from so many lakes, and mountains and glaciers. Just WOW. I can highly recommend a road trip in Canada.

It literally has been one of the best places to do a road trip holiday. I’ve driven in several countries and Canada is super easy, good roads with many very scenic and mostly considerate drivers.

It’s nearly time to head back to Seattle to see Natalie Jade Cush before we fly home on Friday.

British Columbia and Alberta have been so stunning, quite often we were surprised how the next destination was more stunning than the previous one. For me the drive up the scenic Icefields parkway was a highlight as was the cruise on Maligne Lake. Emerald Lake and Lake Louise were beautiful but very touristy as in high season. It’s been an unusual heatwave, so ridiculously hot.

As with road trips in the USA and other parts of the world, I can highly recommend a Canadian road trip. I have access to lots of itineraries and tourist information at my fingertips.

We are seeing family in Seattle first, then popping over the border to Canada. We are going on a 10 night on a 1500 mile road trip.

After an overnight in 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞, 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐚 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐚, 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐤𝐞, 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐟𝐟, 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐬 before heading back to 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 - a nice circuit full of scenic roads, mountains, lakes, vineyards in the lowlands and generally a very green and gorgeous part of Canada.

What sort of holidays do you like?

This is how we roll ❤ this is one of our favourite types of holiday. We pack up our old Toyota Landcruiser Prado and we head to France, Spain and Italy at every opportunity. Which is not that often but every couple of years we like to get the roof tent on and go exploring dirt tracks and campsites across the English channel, I love to map read the old fashioned way looking for those dirt roads 😃 and if there is a campsite with a pool and a bar then even better.

When we are not doing that type of holiday we fly off to somewhere like the USA and hire a car and get out on the open road and experience a different type of driving holiday.

Equally both are what we love ❤️
