Wiltshire Host Families Ltd receives 130 school groups on coaches throughout the year, to our 4 West Wiltshire centres. This year we expanded and are now working with 13 Agents from the UK and abroad, which has already given us larger numbers as well as having returning groups (because the schools have loved their stay with us so much!). Our guests come from France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Czec

h Republic, China and Japan. All of our agents have expressed their wish to expand their partnership with us further, asking us... "Please, Please recruit more hosts and take more groups WHF. So, we did. :)

Is hosting a full-time commitment?

No, hosting is extremely flexible! Students stay between 3-5 nights, weekdays only, meaning your weekends are free.

As your students will be out on their trip between 7:30 and 18:30, hosting can work around a full-time job and family life.

👉 Joining Wiltshire Host Families is easier than you might think. Follow these simple steps, and you’ll be ready to welcome international students in no time:

1. Get in Touch
Contact us via our website, email, telephone, or page – whichever is most convenient for you.

2. Tell Us About Yourself
Once we receive your details, one of our team members will reach out to learn a bit more about you and provide further information about hosting.

3. Schedule a Home Visit
If you’re happy with everything, we’ll arrange a home visit. During the visit:

4. Your local coordinator will meet you in person.
They’ll explain the hosting process in more detail and check that your home is suitable for hosting.

Don’t worry – we’re not looking for five-star hotel standards. All we ask is that the space you provide is clean, comfortable, and safe for our visitors.

5. Complete Safeguarding and DBS Checks

You’ll complete a free safeguarding course. If you don’t already have an enhanced DBS check, we can arrange this for you for £75.

6. You’re All Set!

Once everything is done, you’ll officially be a host family and ready to take allocations from upcoming groups.

It really is that straightforward – get in touch today and take the first step towards becoming a part of Wiltshire Host Families!

Craig & his wife are Hosts based in Warminster, they joined us in 2023 and mainly Host for us in Westbury & Warminster. They usually have 4 students for 4 nights and receive £304 for the stay. Craig is also the Coordinator for Warminster, in this role he welcomes Hosts and Students & Teachers from the coaches each week and does all he can to facilitate a smooth & happy visit. Contact us now if you want to give Hosting a try? Hosting short stay international students can give you a regular 2nd income, companionship and a chance to give a child an English home stay. If you're a single lady you can request female only students. During each stay of 3 or 4 nights, you will have 24/7 support from our experienced staff, cash payments on the first morning and will serve basic English meals like bangers & mash or fish fingers & chips. The students are out all day from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm. Most of our Hosts find that once is not enough and can't wait for the next group of students to arrive however if you find that Hosting if not for you we will remove your details from our register.
