Looking forward to the release of part 2 of my podcast conversation with Paul Griffith from the Adventure Collective. The opportunity to share my journey has helped me reflect on how far I have travelled from a being a Freelance Mountain leader to Business owner.

It has felt like a magical mystery tour at times over the past 12 years and everyday I learn more about the importance of being present and enjoying the journey instead of thinking only about the destination!!

"Surround yourself with the right people. And just go start the journey!".

In the next podcast, Paul Reeve of Sky Blue Adventures tells us more about his experiences of turning a passion and freelancing work into a very busy business.

🎉 Reflecting on an Incredible Journey 🎉

It's been an extraordinary 12 months since I retired from the West Midlands Police today!

As I look back, I'm filled with immense gratitude for the journey that has unfolded and the milestones we've achieved together as a growing team at Sky Blue Adventures
From the outset, our vision was clear: to create meaningful experiences that make a difference. Today, I'm thrilled to share that Sky Blue Adventures has flourished beyond expectations! 🚀

We've had the privilege to collaborate with over 70 charities and corporates, forging partnerships built on shared values and a commitment to positive change. Together, we've embarked on remarkable adventures that have touched lives and inspired communities, including the delivery of events in 2023 which raised over 500k for charitable causes along the way!

Our journey in the past and next 12 months has and will take us far and wide, from the majestic landscapes of Switzerland, Sweden, Nepal, Tanzania to the rugged terrains of arctic survival challenges.

Looking ahead, the excitement only grows! With over 100 events planned for 2024, we're poised to elevate our impact and reach new heights. Each event represents an opportunity to foster connections, amplify voices, and leave a lasting legacy of compassion and camaraderie.

None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our incredible team, partners, and supporters. Your passion and dedication fuel our mission and drive us forward, every step of the way.

As I reflect on this journey, I'm reminded of the power of collaboration, resilience, and the boundless potential within each of us to create change. I hope continue to embrace the adventure and make a difference, one step at a time. Here's to the next chapter and all the possibilities it holds! 🌟

For my serving and retired Blue Light colleagues - if anyone is interested in pursuing a career in the outdoors then please do get in touch as we are creating a growing community who we are helping mentor on their journey to be come Mountain Leaders.

A massive thanks to my wife Leanne Reeve and our daughters for all their support and to all my colleagues and friends Patrick Stephens Chris Edwards Jess Burkey Adrian Lyden Ross Worthington Hannah Bailey Andy Labrum Julian Penney Carole Headley Jo O'Sullivan Hana Smiddy Marni Oostra Holly Moffitt

A huge thank you to those who took part and persevered through the harsh weather to help raise funds for hospice care 👏

Special thanks to driver Mark Henley, Brookhire - Car & Van Hire, and guide Sam from Sky Blue Adventures. Your support is greatly appreciated.

What an amazing Yr Wyddfa sunrise event. With over 200 people. It was truly humbling to be able to plan and deliver this event along with the fantastic support of my incredible mountain leader team (35 leaders). The feedback from participants has been phenomenal. The stories of loss and remembrance shared by the participants as they climbed Yr Wyddfa was so moving.

A big thankyou to The Myton Hospices for allowing Sky Blue Adventures to work with you on this event.

We are looking forward to more challenge events in 2024 which will be announced very shortly.

In total over the weekend we managed events which raised over £100,000 for charity which is mind blowing.

I cannot thank all my mountain leader colleagues enough for their professionalism and dedication.

What an epic few days running the Rick Shiels cycle 500 event. It has been an amazing journey working with Prostate Cancer UK and Rick Shiels Golf to create and deliver this bespoke event. I had a fantasic team to work with from RAW Adventures - Ross, Katie, Sarah and Morts.

Big thanks to Kate McMahon and Dan Richards from Prostate Cancer UK for providing the opportunity to continue to support their challenge events portfolio.

'BARRY' the quadricycle had to be brought across from a scientific research facility in the Alps outside Zurich. He had lived in an underground tunnel for several years carrying scientists and engineers back and forth as they worked.

The event hit the national news due to a very generous donation form a celebrity.

James Corden donated £10,000 to help golf YouTuber Rick Shiels, cycling 310 miles in four days for Prostate Cancer UK, meet his fundraising target of £40,000.
