We were honoured to host Richard Cowie, a lone piper, today on day 9 of his 10-day tribute to the D-Day landings. His haunting performance of "Highland Laddie" is in memory of Bill Millin, the piper who famously strode along Sword Beach 80 years ago.
Don't miss the final performance tomorrow at Kendal Rugby Club from 8 am, plus a commemorative parade and event from 5:30 pm raising funds for Armed Forces charities.
