I found the perfect camp site last night to pitch my tent for the expected snow arriving Saturday night.
2.50 a.m. I wake up with a bad chest infection.
I won't be going anywhere. The hills will be there another day.
How did I become so good looking with age.🤢🤮🤧
Sat up in bed. I can't lie down. My chest gurgles. Not good.

I have just returned home from my birthday present from the Jones's - A Malton Food Tour - absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend it. Also in Malton - The Cooks Pantry - where we had after tour lunch. They do lots of courses etc & private dining.
The pork chop from Food2Remember, in Talbot Yard, Malton from a 36 month, Gloucester Old Spot pig. Now that is a pork chop for one (family),

The need to get away from the computer and to walk Lola. A quick trip up to Pamperdale Moor, near to Cod Beck, Osmotherley. Autumn has really taken hold, a definite chill in the air. It is meant to get cooler soon. A blast from the North or the East. Waxwings on their way?

A visit to the WW2 Event held in Grassington, North Yorkshire every Septembrr, a brilliant weekend for people dressing up, dancing, singing, vehicles and just a brilliant friendly atmosphere. So worth a visit.

After my walk on Saturday 14th September 2024 I have updated the Blog page of my website and also the 'Visit articles here' about Mountain Rescue call outs.
The blog page - sensible decision - the weather was deteriorating, return to the valley.
MRT articles -one sensible & another less so. Luckily no one hurt.

A little windy going up to Wild Boar Fell today, this was halfway up to The Nab.
The wind on top would have been even worse.
The sensible thing to do, return to the valley.
Exactly what we did.
The mountain will be there again.
An enjoyable day with Sue Evans.
