Day 7 - We’ve arrived in Jaipur! I wasn’t sure what to expect from this city but it is safe to say that it exceeded all our expectations. Our last day visiting the sights we entered the Pink City our first stop was the Palace of Winds. Such a vibrant city we saw the Grand Palace, Amer fort and finished the day with a visit to the astronomical observatory.

Day 5 - Ranthambhore an early start for our first safari hoping to spot a tiger. Unfortunately we weren’t lucky enough to see a tiger but did spot a tiger paw print. We did see lots of other animals and all enjoyed the day. When we got back to the hotel we saw other guests that had seen tigers - we were so close!! Hopefully next time.

Day 4- Another train today to get us to Ranthambhore we did stop on the way to visit Fatehpur Siri. Built in the late 1500’s by Emporer Akbar was the first planned city.

Day 3- An early start to catch the train to Agra, very comfortable carriages with a lot of legroom. We were greeted with a rose and served breakfast and enjoyed the watching the countryside. On arrival into Agra we went to visit Agra Fort which had been built as a self contained city. It’s also where the Emperor Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal spent his final days imprisoned by his own son overlooking the river to the Taj Mahal.
Sunset we visited the Taj Mahal which is even more impressive in real sight!

Day 2 - We started our tour in Old Delhi with the Salaam Balaak Trust which is a charity organisation that supports street children across the city. Our local guide was a former street child who had benefited from the charity. We experienced the crazy streets by rickshaw, visited temples, school and the local bazaars and markets.
In the afternoon we visited New Delhi taking in the Qutub Minar and Humayun Tomb
