Cole has swam with Splash Start since he was a baby and for the month of May he took on a swimming challenge to raise money for young lives v cancer..

Cole completed the challenge on Friday and it was also his birthday. Double celebrations 🎂🎁.

What an achievement for Cole and I know his family are so proud of him as are we at Splash Start.

Free Come & Try Session

Have you finished swimming lessons and are looking to go further within the sport? Why not sign up to attend a free come & try session!

In this session you will attend alongside one of our regular training groups and get to try out some drills and skills experienced at club while working with a member of our coaching team.

At Tranent ASC we want to help children progress their swimming ability and have fun doing so. Whether you want to be competitive or just want to train, develop your fitness and have fun, we are here to support you.

Was great to eventually have some positive news yesterday. It has been a tough year for everyone and all the Splash Start team are eager to get back teaching and see all the children enjoying being back in the pool..

As soon as we get information from our pool providers with a plan for our lessons to resume we will be in touch with all our existing customers.

Hopefully we will see you all at the pool soon 🏊🏻‍♀️🏊🏻‍♂️

Mercat Gait Centre

Mercat Gait Centre

Greetings, all! This is just a short update to let everyone know that, as of the end of July, the Mercat Gait Centre remains shut as per the Scottish government's advice. Until we receive further instructions via the Scottish government, doors will remain closed to the public.

However, we are working hard to ensure that, once we are able to move forward with reopening, the MGC is as safe and enjoyable an experience as possible. Please bear with us as we all adjust to new changes and practices. We look forward to seeing you when the time comes!

Start of another new month and school summer holidays..
No more homeschooling 😄

As there is still no date as to when swimming pools will re-open, we all eagerly wait for any updates from the government and Scottish swimming on what restrictions will be put in place when swimming pools do re-open.
As soon as we get more information, we will be in touch to let you know what our new guidelines will be and give you details of what changes will be in place for our safe return to lessons.

Thanks to everyone for all your messages of support, the Splash Start team are missing everyone and can’t wait to get back to what we love 🏊🏻‍♀️🏊🏻

Hi 👋🏻
Hope you are all doing well and staying safe?

It’s look like swimming pools will reopen under Phase 3. We will have to wait until Scottish Swimming and our pools advise us what guidelines and precautions/restrictions we will need to now follow.
It might be a while after that before lessons can resume.. who knows 🤷‍♀️

These changes are going to have a big impact on our lessons and it will mean changes to how our lessons run.

When we have any updates we will be in touch with all our active customers to give you guidance on how we will be able to run our classes safely and what options we would have for you.

Let’s hope it won’t be too long! 🙏🏻Nothing’s guaranteed time wise at the moment, we will continue to keep you updated as we know more.

Stay and safe and hopefully we can all be back enjoying swimming lessons again soon 🏊🏻‍♀️🏊🏻‍♂️

Splash Start update...

All lessons will now be cancelled,
we are going on advise from Scottish Swimming.
We will send a text to all customers tomorrow and keep you all up to date as and when we know. Such a sad time for everyone.

We want to thank all our customers for their continued custom and we hope that we will all be back in the pool enjoying lessons again soon.

Coronavirus - Lessons update

Lessons will continue as normal as we continue to monitor the situation and stay in contact with all our pools we have lessons running at.
Should anything change we will update you all as soon as we have any further information.

Reminder to shower before using the pool, to shower on leaving the pool and to follow the necessary hygiene precautions when visiting public places to help reduce the risk of infection. Posters are displayed within centers.

These include washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze and do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.

Most importantly, if your child is feeling unwell, please do not bring them to lessons.
