It's raining again. So good to be busy working on an /New Zealand itinerary, as well as a city break to , a villa holiday in Europe, plus sending out documents to clients going on soon & contacting their hotels to ensure they're well looked after.

So glad my clients had a great in & . I spent a couple of days in Singapore on the way back from Bali. However, Singapore is really a destination in itself - so much to see & do.

Had such an interesting education day today with an update from one of our suppliers. The time just sped by, as she was so passionate about Japan (having lived there). She gave absolutely fascinating insights about the country, & how key it is to understand your clients' wishes/requirements and also manage their expectations correctly, so they get the most out of their stay. Also, great to know that many clients return again and again, as there are so many different aspects to Japan.

After the disastrous impact of Covid, it's great to have been so busy again with my clients' travel plans - whether a romantic holiday, multi-generational get-together, tailored itinerary over 2-3 countries or a city break - and being on hand to make sure everything went smoothly (despite the ever changing entry requirements!). Obviously our Head Office 24/7 Duty office is always on hand to keep an eye on things while you're away and I'm asleep here in the UK.

Just managed to have a quick exchange of emails before my client went off on her next holiday. How was the Kenya safari and Seychelles holiday with her family for her special birthday? "Fab." That will be enough until we manage to catch up on her return! All the research & prep. on entry requirements (eVisas, travel authorisations, proof of entry & departure, innoculations, Covid passes) and communicating with the lodges & hotels was worth it.
Just caught up with my clients who flew back to the UK yesterday, having been on their to Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro. Their special family trip had been delayed 3.5 years due to Covid. So pleased to hear they'd all had an amazing time, seeing the "big five" on their game drives & enjoying the wonderful variety of wildlife and stunning landscape. They also visited community projects and enjoyed guided walks to learn about local plants, trees and culture. (images are for illustration only - not from my clients)
Tracking my clients' flights back from their 2-centre holiday in - arrived on time this morning. They had messaged me to say "All going well here in Bali. Wonderful place. Has it all." I agree - I had a brilliant stay there when I went, combining it with a stopover.

Went for a drive today (in between showers) and had a good choice of commentary on the radio when these ducks appeared and blocked the road both ways. There were about 30 of them in total on either side of the road, enjoying eating something in the hedgerows - but no idea what. All the cars waited patiently until the ducks decided what they were doing.😄 See less
I walked 5 miles of the Monarch's Way today. Lovely route with very loud birdsong all the way. Monarch's Way is based on the escape route taken by King Charles II in 1651 after being defeated in the Battle of Worcester. For six weeks the 21-year-old was hotly pursued by Parliamentary troops.
