Happy Thanks Giving to all my US friends and family! It is a lovely tradition to gather as family and think of the things you are grateful for. Something we all need a little more of in our lives.

Autumn is here, dark mornings, dark evenings, crisp cool air, rusty leaves, and wet ground.

Although I love the outdoors of summer, I also love the indoors of Autumn and the cosiness of wrapping up warm.

Autumn brings rich warm colours: oranges, reds, burgundies, yellow, and then olive greens, browns, dirty purples.

Another beautiful spring photo from my apple tree. Have I mentioned my neighbour is a beekeeper? Yes :-) lots of bees around in our neighbourhood and they have been busy with the spring flowers.

. Pearls for girls! I love this quote by Jackie Kennedy, it is so true. You can dress up or down but those pearls add a little something special.

Pearls make a great gift for that precious daughter, neice, or granddaughter at her graduation, prom, or wedding. They bring class and are always in fashion.

! Yes It's Friday already.

This is Jessica's baptism bracelet from last year, also featured in my latest blog post, ordered by her Grandparents so she would have a special keepsake to remember the day. I used her name to make it personal, the initials CTR to remember to Choose the Right, and a pearl to remind her of the white dress she wore and her purity.

Such a special occasion. I'm not sure I mentioned I was actually able to attend her day too and see her beaming smile. Gorgeous :-)

. A little look at the making of Olivia's CTR baptism necklace. Each letter had to be marked out and then carefully stamped in a straight line using just the right amount of force.

The CTR stands for "Choose the Right” which is the children's organisation in my church use. Each time Olivia touches or sees necklace she will remember to make good choices and remember how she felt on her baptism day.

. Last year a few of my friend's granddaughters, niece, and grandson turned eight and they requested special jewellery pieces to give as gifts to mark the occasion of their baptisms.

It is such a special event and although gifts are not the important part it is nice to have a little reminder of the special feelings of the day.

I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain.
And ponder on the beauty of an earth made clean again.
I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain.
I want to be the best I can and live with God again.
I know when I am baptized my wrongs are washed away,
And I can be forgiven and improve myself each day.

You are bursting with pride and happiness, your eight year old daughter, niece, or granddaughter has just been baptised in her beautiful white dress. Her face is beaming as she searches the crowd of family and friends for your face.

Later you hand her a carefully hand wrapped package that you hope will remind her of this day and how she feels in this moment.

This custom necklace was made for loving grandparents to gift to a special girl called Olivia on her baptism day.

I really enjoy making jewellery for special occasions; from that moment on there is a lot of heart and excitement tied to the piece, that you remember every time you touch or see it.

. Meet my trusty barrelling machine who helps me with the polishing process. Love her 😍

Polishing is not about removing all scratches but making many small scratches in the same direction. It is about balance and direction.

We can use this analogy in our lives, as we work to balance our time and relationships; and focus our direction we see the shine of enjoyment and contentment come to the surface.

! This week I'm showcasing these gorgeous crazy lace agate and chainmaille earrings. THAT. COLOUR! You know I am a turquoise girl but these stones are a stunning pink with smazing patterns.
Crazy lace agate is a stone of balance and protection; chainmaille was the earliest from of protective armour. I think they make a perfect pairing.

. Just look how much our Rhododendrons have changed! They have gone from a peachy white and yellow to mostly yellow with a few pale red speckles.
Such stunning colours which are really making me excited for warmer weather... and. that. sky!

Colours and warmth make me happy, when I'm happy I feel extra inspired to create.

I'm dreaming of wearing flip flops and sitting on the warm tiles of my back step soaking in the sun like a lizard. What are you looking forward to?
