Visit the charming Warwickshire village of Wootton Wawen where you can explore one of the oldest structures in the Midlands.

The tower of St Peter’s Church dates back to the 900s, and (it is thought) possibly earlier. Discover the fascinating history of this Saxon Sanctuary and the surrounding village of Wootton Wawen (including the origins of its unusual name) at the exhibition inside the church. Entrance is free although donations towards the maintenance of the historic church are appreciated.

Open daily from 9.30am-4.30pm.

Wootton Wawen lies between Stratford-upon-Avon and Henley in Arden on the Stratford Road.

Join us this upcoming weekend, on Saturday, the 20th of April, for a spirited tribute to Shakespeare's birthday. From captivating theatrical performances to enlightening workshops and a vibrant parade, the festivities promise an unforgettable experience for all.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

9:45am – 10:15am - The parade begins at the top of Bridge Street and returns to Sheep Street to lead the VIP procession.
