Seaton Tramway is proud to announce ‘Jurassic Discovery’,

Set to open in the Spring of 2024, Jurassic Discovery will initially welcome visitors with a family-friendly café and a soft play. By the Summer of 2024, the centre will unveil an immersive dinosaur exhibition, featuring state-of-the-art animatronic exhibits from the Natural History Museum.

Walks are slowly petering out as we head into winter... now the fossil prepping starts! Here are some prepped Ammonites that I have recently revealed for a couple of clients. Top right is a rather rare Lytoceras Ammonite from Charmouth.

A photo from 3 years ago today with a 170 million year old Parkinsonia Ammonite on Freshwater Beach at sunset, looking towards West Bay. This fossil was found in the cliffs here by Martin Curtis of Jurassic Coast Guides.

These cliffs at West Bay and Burton Bradstock are not very fossil-rich at all, this is an extremely rare find and this is a dangerous place to look for fossils due to the risk of sudden rockfalls - Lyme Regis and Charmouth are much better places to look.

What a weekend it has been! Our corporate walking event on the stunning Jurassic Coast yesterday was nothing short of epic!
Despite facing one of the hottest days of the year, our incredible team of 12 clients persevered and managed to conquer a whopping 18 miles on this breathtaking coastline!
I want to give a massive shout out to the heart and soul of this event, our two amazing leaders, Dave Tainton and Andy Hunter. As always, their professionalism and expertise as mountain leaders was absolutely instrumental in making this event a success. They guided the participants through challenging terrain, kept them motivated, and ensured everyone's safety throughout the participants entire journey.
A special mention also goes out to our trusty support vehicle that was there every step of the way, providing us with much-needed hydration, shelter and support.
As the event manager, my role was to ensure that every aspect of the event ran smoothly. From planning the route to coordinating logistics and managing leaders, participants and the support vehicle, I worked tirelessly to make sure that every detail was taken care of. It was incredibly rewarding to see the team come together and overcome this challenge in the sweltering heat, and I couldn't be prouder of our teams collective achievement.
This event was not just about my clients pushing their physical limits but also about them fostering teamwork, bonding, and embracing the beauty of the Jurassic Coast.
Our commitment to the Jurassic Coast doesn't stop here. As an award-winning company, we are dedicated to promoting the beauty and significance of this natural wonder. Our mission is to continue supporting our clients, advocating for responsible tourism, and integrating the spirit of adventure into our work. The summer season is just about coming to an end… it’s been an awesome couple of months on the Jurassic Coast and I’ve had some amazing tours and fossil walks! A huge thank you to all my amazing clients… my days on the coast are only as good as the people I get to spend them with! I now look forward to continuing my journey working as a professional guide on this amazing coastline!

5 years ago we set up Causley Cabs and thousands of miles, customers, car washes, and coffees later, here we are.
It’s the best thing we ever did.
We love people and we love this town, so to get to meet so many interesting folk each day whilst soaking up the scenery is just marvellous.

🌊 Yesterday I had an unforgettable adventure along the stunning Jurassic Coast with this family from India! 🦖🏞️ From breathtaking cliffs to fascinating fossils, I covered nearly two thirds of this ancient coastline… it truly took their breath away. 😍 🍽️ And let's not forget the highlight of the day: a delightful lunch at The Pig in Studland! 🐷🍴 The food was absolutely divine, and the charming atmosphere & company made it even more memorable. 🍽️✨

Last week we ran our latest corporate walking event on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. We had 24 clients and covered 17 miles in total. The company raised £14,000 for their charity... amazing work guys!

Last Friday I ran my latest corporate walking event for a company from London.
I had 24 clients, 3 mountain leaders (including myself), one photographer and two support vehicles.
We had some rain around lunch time but apart from that we were lucky and the walk ran very smoothly. Dave from Lewis and Schofield Photography has captured the event perfectly! The company managed to raise £14,000 for their cancer charity... well done guys!
