TYC NEED YOU!

⏱️On the 22nd November we’ll be holding a BARBERING MARATHON to raise money for charity. The TYC team will be cutting non-stop for 24 hours! ⏱️

All proceeds will be donated to Helping Hands Bradford. We aim to help families in the run up to Christmas with donations to food banks, children’s toys & money to be used for those in need 🫶

We’ve partnered with Exceed Training Academy, who’ll be offering their services, think head massages, conditioning treatments and ladies blow drys. No need to book these, just walk in! 💆‍♀️

A shout out to our friends at Funville, who’ve kindly donated 50 children toys to get us going! 🧸

There’s going to be a collection at the shop for all children winter clothes: Ages newborn to 18. We just ask the clothes are clean with no tears 👖🧣🧦

Lastly, what can you do to help this amazing cause? We need your bums in seats, especially those early hour appointments, all availability is now on Booksy and we really appreciate if you can make some of the difficult hours 🙌🙌🙌

World Mental Health Day highlights the importance of looking after your mental health. Taking care of yourself and prioritising your mental health is as important as looking after your physical health.

For learners and employers who need a helping hand or extra advice on how they can prioritise their mental health or where they can go for extra resources, all you need to do is get in touch!

Exciting news!

Exceed Training Company is proud to announce that we have two finalists in the Yorkshire and The Humber Regional Awards for the National Apprenticeship and Skills Awards.

Helen Rutherford / Exceed Training Company has been named a finalist in the SME Apprenticeship Employer of the Year category.

Charlotte Bowers has also been named a finalist and in the running for Rising Star of the Year.

Both will be attending the regional final in York on October 2nd. We wish them the best of luck and extend our congratulations to all the other finalists!

A break to the week this week as Charlie and Helen spent the day at The Quality Professionals Awards for Further Education and Employability.

Alongside a great afternoon, Charlie has won The Rising Star Award 2024 in the FE and Skills sector. A big well done to all the nominees and winners throughout the awards👏🏼

We now look forward to Helen’s awards night at the British Hairdressing Business Awards on Monday as she is up for Educator of the year🏆

HairCon Academy Trip 2024… complete✔️

An exciting day for our learners as they attended in Manchester, as part of their Personal Development Curriculum. A day full of creative sessions, educational discussions and of course… freebies!

Our learners enjoyed their day out in Manchester and we hope they were inspired, motivated and encouraged to aim high in their career. We’re excited for next year already!

🚨Urgent Request🚨

We have a few of our learners sitting their final exam on Wednesday to be qualified and they have been let down for their restyle cuts. We are offering restyles free of charge on Wednesday if you can help to be a secure model for our learners.

Restyle will have to go from below shoulder to above, going from a one length to layers or layers to one length.

If you are interested and can help our learners please send pictures of your hair via messenger and we will get you booked in on Monday to have a consultation.

Meet the Team - Claire Close

Claire is our quality coordinator and designated safeguarding officer, she is also our level 2 educator. Claire manages the oversight of quality, she strives to ensure the learner journey is of high value and has an impact on the apprentice’s journey.

Alongside working at Exceed Training Company, we are lucky that Claire also works as a City and Guilds level 2 and 3 EPA assessor. So if she isn’t busy teaching our apprentices, she is out assessing others!
