Boxing Day Was a Knock Out! Consumers may not have been hitting the high streets in the same volumes as previous years, but they were certainly booking holidays. In fact, they were booking them like never before. Boxing Day this year was the busiest we have ever seen. An early review of sales suggests a fourfold increase in bookings compared to last year. That's phenomenal! Well done to all of our Travel Consultants who made bookings. As is almost tradition now, Christmas Day also saw a number of bookings being made. January is always a very busy time in the travel industry and typically a busy period between Christmas and New Year is an indication of a very busy month ahead. Want to know what customers were booking? Here's a quick rundown of the top 10 destinations you've been booking over the last few days. 33% of all bookings were for summer 2025 and 33% were for last minute holidays before April 2025. 66% of all bookings were for traditional package holidays – no surprise given the advertising we're seeing from operators.
