WORLD TOURISM DAY 2024💫
World Tourism Day is a global event dedicated to celebrating the significance of tourism in promoting cultural exchange, economic development and international understanding🫶
At the Giant's Causeway, we are so proud of all of our partners, like Tourism Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland and Visit Causeway Coast and Glens, as well as all the local businesses, including Away A Wee Walk, Dalriada Kingdom Tours, Bushmills Irish Whiskey and Aquaholics, who help us not only to attract visitors from all over the world, but also give them a first-class, GIANT welcome💚
We'd also like to express thanks to our committed, hard-working staff and volunteers as they strive day-in and day-out to ensure that our visitors have an enjoyable, unforgettable experience👏
This morning, Senior Marketing and Communications Officer, Jennifer and Experience and Visitor Programming Assistant, Georgia met with Dr Peter Bolan, a Senior Lecturer and Course Director for the International Travel and Tourism Management (ITTM) course at Ulster University🤝
Ulster University strive in making sure that the next generation of tourism providers are completing their degree with the knowledge and expertise they need to take tourism forward.
Georgia came to the Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge - National Trust as a Placement Student on the ITTM course in June 2022, and is now working alongside Jennifer in Marketing and Communications.
A timely reminder on World Tourism Day, that together we are stronger and collaboration is key in safeguarding the future of tourism🫶
