Women on the Move (Trailer)
This beautifully (and rightly) irreverent film by The Adventure Syndicate and Politics of Patents uncovers research into thousands of historic clothing patents which revealed a hidden history of innovators and inventive clothing that helped women defy political and societal restrictions barring their access to living active and sporting lives.
On International Women’s Day, we celebrate these pioneering women and their courageous steps towards equality.
As time passes and equity is fully realised, we look forward to looking back and chuckling as this too becomes another relic of a bygone era. ❤️

As part of our Beyond Bikes Film Night (March 21st, MacRobert Arts Centre, Stirling) we’re aiming to share stories that not only showcase the spectacular beauty of Scotland but the power of mountain biking to bring balance to your mental and physical wellbeing.
‘R E C O V E R Y’ is one such story. It’s an emotive short film that beautifully captures the new ground that @dmbins are breaking by delivering a holistic approach to positive health outcomes through an innovative Mountain Bike Trail Therapy.
This short film captures the journey of one of the participants who has used mountain biking as a strategy for his recovery and I defy any living breathing human not to be moved by its message.

International Women’s Day starts with RAD girls.
Did you know that girls are more likely to drop out from outdoor recreation in their teenage years than boys? That potentially means missing out on the fun of mountain biking in their prime.
So to mark International Women’s Day we want to celebrate girls (and the guys that support them) and do all we can to enable them to experience the fun and confidence that comes from mountain biking.
That’s why we are proud to be celebrating the launch of MissAdventures today, a cycling initiative aimed at girls aged 12 to 18 - a special collaboration between our very own coach/guide Aneela and coaches Chris Bryant and Caroline McKaig - to share our passion to get more girls on bikes and for them to become the role models for future generations of girls.
To mark the event, MissAdventures are proud to be launching ‘My MTB Essentials’ - a series of films made by girls for girls. First up is Emily and Eilidh who give us their tips on how to wash your bike properly!

We love summer but there will always be a special place in our heart for the Autumn season - it’s when Scotland looks its best but it never lasts long enough.
That’s why we we’ve chosen the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park for our gravel tour in October. With the mighty Ben Lomond as your backdrop, the epic views and autumnal colours make the most dramatic combination. A time of year when you want to be out on your bike before winter approaches.
