Over the last 29 years of operation NBC has built a team with unrivalled experience and knowledge particularly in environments such as waste management, utilities, construction, FM/property management and aviation where our reputation has seen us grow nationally into a leading brand which represents Quality and Value. Our prestigious list of clients return because they trust us to deliver effective solutions to those issues that can have a significant negative impact on their business. In April 2022, US-based Rollins Inc, best known for its subsidiary pest control brand, Orkin, acquired NBC Environment. NBC are BPCA (British Pest Control Association) members, staff are RSPH (Royal Society for the Protection of Health trained) with CSCS (construction skills certification scheme) certification. We are accredited with the Quality Standard BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and regularly undertake assessments to maintain these quality standards. In addition we are Achilles UVDB Audited and SafeContractor Approved and accredited for other schemes for safe working practices, so you can be assured of a professional service without incident and a smooth supplier on boarding process although many may be surprised to see that we are already registered within their company. At NBC we embrace our corporate clients increasing sensitivity towards their legislative requirements, sustainability objectives and brand image. The award-winning NBC Environment is the UK’s leading wildlife management company, one of several British brands such as Safeguard and Albany owned and operated by USA based Rollins Inc. which is one of the largest pest control companies in the world servicing more than two million customers in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia from more than 700 locations.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals, with either experience of, or a strong desire to learn, pest control to join us as members of our regional teams.

Due to continued growth, we have various exciting opportunities for someone to start or progress their wildlife management career. The successful candidates will receive great rates of pay as well as excellent training opportunities. Ideally, you will be an experienced falconer or pest controller but we would consider a trainee position for the right candidate.

What you will be doing:

This is an extremely varied role that may likely include the following:

· Flying hawks and falcons for pest control
· Inspecting customer premises for pest activity and completing necessary treatments
· Installing bird netting and spiking/proofing systems
· Cleaning customer property following pest infestations.
· Complete accurate and detailed reports of observations, works completed and recommendations.
· Communicating with customers professionally and confidentially

Requirements for the role:

You will have:

RSPH L2 Award In Pest Management or experience in Falconry or an applied interest

Full UK Drivers Licence with no more than 6 points

Be confident in using a smartphone and relevant apps

Be comfortable meeting and talking to new people

Be able to use a smartphone to write short reports

Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Good attention to detail with the discipline to follow the process

Flexible, willing to respond to opportunities with a can-do attitude

You should be:

Smart and disciplined.

You will like presenting yourself in the best possible way, both in terms of appearance and approach.

Personable, social with strong values.

Self-motivated.

You will enjoy a challenge and be able to think independently.

Dependable.

Someone who enjoys the security of stability and taking ownership of tasks.

You will enjoy outdoor activities and have an applied interest in the countryside.

Definitely, a glass-half-full type of person who sees the upside of even the most challenging situation.

A starting salary of £23,000 to £26,000

Meet Bonnie. This amazing dog who works with its owner and handler Ryan at NBC. Bonnie is trained to sniff out fresh rodent activity which can't always been seen and can sniff through walls to find activity and will stop to indicate where rodent harbourage might be. This then allows our technicians to step in to prevent an infestation in a building before it becomes a problem to the client.
