Oxford Time Tours A family friendly tour of Oxford, with a time traveller guide! The Oxford Time Tour is a new approach to the traditional walking tour.

As well as seeing some of Oxford' s most beautiful and historical sites, the tour will take you through Oxford's history chronologically, from its Saxon origins right up to the discovery of penicillin. And there could be glimpses of Oxford's future as your time travelling guide may accidentally let slip a few dates that have not happened yet! The tour is especially suitable for families. Younger ones can have a go at a spotting list - can they find the Oxford oddities?

Henry XIII had a lot to answer for! Most Oxford colleges that disappeared got replaced, apart from this one. Although it's a shame we don't have a St Bernard's college any more...barrel of brandy for every student :D.

FRAGMENTS of Oxford’s ‘lost college’ have been uncovered by archaeologists.

The battle for Radcliffe Square has reached new heights as Hertford College cat Simpkin IV has been spending a lot more time in Exeter College cat Walter’s usual digs. In response, Exeter College has now banned Simpkin from the College library.

Wow! My daughter would have been terrified when she was little - a giant White Rabbit at Blackwells was bad enough :D.

Here a tedious professor (believed to be William Fisher, the Registrar of Oxford) is delivering one of his lectures entitled, "Datur Vacuum" -- 'A vacuum is granted'. Surrounding him are his students who exhibit a myriad of responses to the lecture. Indifference, boredom, scorn, amazement, skepticism, incredulity and drowsiness are all portrayed. Every reaction, in fact, is here except genuine interest.
