All of my ukuleles are completely handmade, all timber components are individually crafted by myself, including the kerfed linings. I make all the standard size ukuleles which I sell directly from my page and website, so please check back regularly to see what I have for sale. [email protected]

After a few months away from uke making I thought I would get back into it by rehashing my concert uke shape. I haven't built anything larger than a soprano for a long time.
Heres a couple of photos showing my progress so far this week.
First attempt was in Mahogany but I broke the sides. Second go in A/B grade Koa where I dropped the top and broke a piece off the edge. I then broke it down the middle in a fit of temper.
Tomorrow it will have a spruce top.

I stumbled across this old advert today...

Most of it is still accurate. The coffee machine has packed in, it got a bit trickier a few years back to send things free to Europe and I've got less hair. But other than that!

For Sale. Koa Tenor Ukulele. £675 inc a new Kinsman hardshell case and UK postage. Now Sold.

I started building this ukulele for myself early in 2020 and finally got around to completing it last year. It doesn't get played very much so I've decided to put it up for sale.

There are a few playing marks but they are so faint I can't photograph them.

Body. Hawaiian Koa with rope binding and soundhole ring
Neck. Mahogany with a Koa peghead veneer and rope details
Fretboard and bridge. Ebony
Tuners. Der Jung open geared
Nut and Saddle. Bone
Fret dots. White Abalone
Strings. Fluorocarbon
Finish. Hand finished in shellac and Tru Oil.

The strings can be tied at the bridge or passed through to the inside of the uke body. This time I've passed them around the the bridge and through into the body secured inside with a tied knot and glass beads.

Answering Facebook messenger is tricky at the moment because I can't access them unless I log in using a browser.

For sale is a soprano ukulele that I built for myself about 3 years ago.
All made from Brazilian mahogany with rosewood appointments, bone nut and saddle, Grover friction tuners and the finish is satin pore filled cellulose lacquer.
There are a few strum marks to the upper right bout but they are too faint to photograph.

Because of the woods used I can only post within the UK.

I use a piece of fretwire with the tangs filed down. I made and lost a few of these before coming up with idea of bending a loop on the one end to hang it up.
