All of my ukuleles are completely handmade, all timber components are individually crafted by myself, including the kerfed linings. For the last ten years or so I've been using this simple arrangement for carving and sanding necks. Today I had the brilliant idea of putting the wing nuts above the bench instead of ferreting around underneath. 🙄

After a few months away from uke making I thought I would get back into it by rehashing my concert uke shape. I haven't built anything larger than a soprano for a long time.
Heres a couple of photos showing my progress so far this week.
First attempt was in Mahogany but I broke the sides. Second go in A/B grade Koa where I dropped the top and broke a piece off the edge. I then broke it down the middle in a fit of temper.
Tomorrow it will have a spruce top.
